New Balance's 1000 sneaker is getting serious VIP treatments for its revival era. First, the 90s dad shoes were reimagined to Y2K perfection by Joe Freshgoods. Now, all eyes are on Aimé Leon Dore, who appears to be next in line to take on the chunky model.

Following an initial glimpse in the label's Spring/Summer 2024 collection, Aimé Leon Dore's New Balance 1000 sneakers have landed on our social media feeds once again, offering up better looks at not one but two ultra-clean rotation-ready colorways.

Wait, there's more?! Indeed. Aimé Leon Dore's New Balance 1000 sneakers have emerged in a new shiny black patent take after the sneaker's obscure lookbook reveal. In leaked photos, the lustrous all-black paint job takes over the shoe's sleek yet meshy upper, stamped with "Aimé" badges and classic New Balance sign-offs (of course!).

The next Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 1000 sneaker is a sober contrast to the previous iteration. First debuted in the spring lookbook and later by Teddy Santis himself, the third colorway boasts a crisp, summery white look. Do I also detect some hints of grey between the co-branded moments?

"It's summer '98 in Astoria Queens, and I just discovered Steinway Street," Santis typed in his Instagram stories during the latest reveal of the summer-worthy white colorway. Santis knows the importance of the quintessential all-white sneaker for summer, and his New Balances naturally check the box.

So far, that's two colorways to the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000 sneakers. It's unknown if we'll get both in one sitting, but it wouldn't be a shocker for ALD.

Aimé Leon Dore is known for giving fans a multitude of muted options with its releases, whether a pack of New Balance 550 shoes or a trio of lug-soled Timberlands.

Between Santis' IG caption and the SS24 lookbook tease, it's safe to assume that Aimé Leon Dore's New Balance 1000 sneakers will finally arrive sometime this summer.

Hopefully. Prayers up to the sneaker gods!
