Stickerwall R.I.P.

Our stickerwall is going to be gone after today……we’re expanding the shop at the moment and we have to place a new wall in front of the stickerwall.

I’ve always loved stickers and i used to collect them…I remember back in the days going to Rodolpho’s(one of the first skateshop in Amsterdam) buying Kevin Staab Sims and Santa Cruz stickers for 5 guilders each (that was the only thing i could afford) and my mom and dad thought it was stupid spending my whole allowance on stickers. .

I took me a couple of months to make all the stickers fit on the wall so excuse me for getting all sentimental bout this….here are some of my favourites….

Check the Sean Sheffey guestboard on Krooked sticker..that one’s the shit! Sheffey blew everyone away back in 91 when “Soldier Story” came out. Check it out here if you don’t know what i mean….

Those Rockwell stickers are one of the first stickers Parra did for Rockwell and for those who live in Holland…do you remember the Chocolate party’s and the stickers that Parra made for every party??

That bootleg the Cure sticker is also hella sick just because the Cure is one of my favourite bands. More bootleg stickers and the Cure coming up….

Check this Ice-T sticker, he’s everything but gay i guess but he looks a bit fruity on this sticker doesnt he? By the way remember this one?

Another the Cure sticker….first album i heared from the Cure was the compilation album ” Staring at the sea” when i was 10 or 11 i think….this was one of my favourite song back then…

Also check that Vehicle sticker….does this company still excist??? Big up to J-Money and Gangemi!

Also check those two stickers of Vieze Furr and P.Faberyayo from de Jeugd van Tegenwoordig…..i didn’t drew those moustaches Pepijn..

The Smiths…..i remember buying my first CD player at Wastora(for those who remember this store…big up yourself!) in Alkmaar and the first CD i bought at the same time was Hatfull of Hallow….the Smiths has always and will always be my favourite band.

The Smashing Pumpkins…i saw the video underneath the first time at a VPRO interview of the Red Hot Chili Peppers were they showed video’s and asked what they thought..They liked the pumpkins but another thing that bumped me out was that they also showed “Fools Gold” by the Stone Roses and they thought it was crap and called them the Stone Posers….my love for the peppers has never been the same since then…but back to the Smashing Pumpkins….the first time i saw them live was at the first Lowlands festival in 96 or 97 i think just when Siamese Dreams came out…that really impressed me and was one of the best performances i’ve ever seen in my life…

Tim from Patta (Edson’s little brother) used to be a rapper in a group named the Lunatics they even had an album out at one point named “Organised by the law. Edson was their DJ and i even saw them live a long ass time ago when they were opening for Cappadonna in Paradiso. I found this sticker in Edson’s sticker box and i made all the members of the Lunatics sign this sticker. Unfortunatly there is no Youtube clip to back this up…..

Fat Beats was a Hip Hop record store in Amsterdam and i used to hang there all the time. Thanks to Fat Beats i met all the people like Edson, Gee, Wix, etc. that i work with now and it was a great time when i look back at it.

Diamond was not the first to come up with that misfit skull gold teeth shit….Lush Life did. Big up to Ryan Siko!

J Mascis is my favourite guitarist he can play out of tune and it still sounds great he also does it with it’s vocals all the time i guess

I saw Big L at one of his last show’s ever here in Amsterdam and he was hella sick!

I had my almost death experience during Primus at the first Lowlands festival, i was waiting in the front of the stage untill it began…..hell broke lose got squashed in the moshpit and i had to get out….fast!
