Patta was celebrating their 5th aniversiry 2 weeks ago with a big party and several colabbos still to come. They still have to come out with all the footage of the party so keep an eye out for that on their blog on SlamxHype and their own website Patta.nl. Since they are my neighbours and thanks to them i have my store Ben G i made this t-shirt for them as a gift for their 5th aniversiry……check it out!

I’ve always wanted to make a shirt with this line that i stole and flipped a bit from this guy with this song obviously…..and it seem to apply to Patta perfectly.

I made 30 t-shirts for them to give away to staff and friends so this shirt is not for sale!

Last saturday we had one of the best skateboard contests of the year….Zeskamp skateboarden! We had six skateboard disciplines they were:
1-Long bailing (who can bail the most far riding against a special designed sandbox?)
2-Hippiejump (who can do the highest hippiejump?)
3-Highest wallride (who makes the highest wallride?)
4-100 meter boarden (who can make the fastest time on our 100 meter course clearing all the obstacles?)
5-Barrel Jump (who can clear the most barrels?)
6-200 meter sprint (who make’s the fastest time on our 200 meter course without obstacels?)

The longest bail event was definitly one of the most fun to watch and Jimbo jumped an amazing 7,20 meters!

Vincent Vos also tried to the longest bail and stepped his lungs out all the way from the waterside and a meter before he had to jump he stepped over his own feet……that’s pretty slecht gaan!

The Hippie Jump was also pretty sick Zombie and this other dude (don’t know his name sorry!) hippie jumped 1.30 meters!!!

As you can see 1.30 meters ain’t no joke!

Highest wallride became best trick at the wallride since the ramp was bigger then the wall! But shit went down on this thing and again Zombie killed it for everyone check it…

100 meters boarden……i was taking the times on the stopwatch so i haven’t got any pictures but this one of the course….

I bet there will be some pictures online later on from this event it was a lot of fun though and i really can’t remember who won but who cares!

Barrel Jump!

This kid from Subliminal jumped 8 barrels easy.

Same kid 9 barrels but he slammed sooooo hard which made an end to the session.

Ayacaramba i thought Vos had the slam of the day but this kid topped it no doubt….feet inbetween the barrels and elbow on the board and into his face….yuk!

200 meters sprint…..never went down somehow so it was actually a 5 kamp skateboarding! But it was a really fun day thnks to Stan Postmus and all the sponsors Represent, Toms Skateshop, Subliminal, Ben G and Nike SB!

Ben G will be the first to release the Parra Vans together with Woei in Rotterdam. The official release date is the 15th of July but we will be releasing them tomorrow the 19th of June at 12.00 at our store location! Limited sizes available so unless you want to wait another 3 weeks……………get your ass to our store tomorrow!

Last saturday our teamrider Tim Zom won the Museum Ramp Jam here in Amsterdam. Congrats to him and Julien Benoliel from Marseille (second) and Jarne Verbruggen from Belgium (third). Here are some pictures from the event.

Debacle is a Nike skateboard video from all the amateur riders on Nike SB. Last friday the 12th at 20.00 was the European premier at 50 different places all over Europe at the same time! How??? The video premiered online and you needed a code to login and everyone was connected by webcames which was pretty funny since you could see everyone at the same time! Afterwards there was an question ad answer with director of the video Jackson Hernandez.

The premier i attended was at Wieger van Wageningens house here in Amsterdam and we had beers and barbeque provided by Nike SB so it was a perfect evening! Here are some pictures of the evening…..

Yes…one of my dreams is coming true….Zeskamp skateboarden is something i’ve been thinking and talking about for over 4 years now and finaly it’s gonna happen! Thanks to 3 other skateshops here in Amsterdam (Reprezent, Tom’s & Subliminal), Skatepark Amsterdam, Nike SB and in particular Stan Postmus this event is going down on the 20th of June right here in Amsterdam.

This is no ordinary skate contest….this is olympic skateboard stuff! We have 6 different skateboard disciplines for you made up and they are all pretty dumb! The beauty of it all is that everone can enter the contest young old beginner or sponsored skateboarders this is not about competition but having fun riding your skateboard!
