Our paper plane icon has grown to mean different things to a lot of people. It has been immortalized in peoples skin as a constant reminder to what it means to them. This tattoo comes from Joe in Miami. The asian characters translates into ambition and he uses it as a reminder to keep pushing forward – stay gold!

This year is starting to shape up really nice already. We have a few collab projects in the works with brands that I personally admire. I am looking forward to releasing the pieces as the year unfolds. Till then here is the first look at some sketches from the projects. Can you guess what brands they are with?

In our SF flagship store we carry a few select brands that I have worked with outside of the Benny Gold brand. Everything in the store is here for a reason and has a story behind it. Ask the sales guys – they will be more then happy to tell you about it.

The first is the most obvious.. Huf. I got my start within street wear and learned the game from them. I designed their original logo close to 10 years ago. A little known fact about the Benny Gold brand is that it started under Huf and the first few seasons were distributed exclusively through them.

Come by our shop and check out a new assortment from them. I am proud to see how much they have grown and where they are going. Support Huf!

Not too long after I started handling my own distro and opened up select stores I started selling to a great store in Arizona called High Point. A few of the guys involved in the store were starting their own brand called Dearly Departed. They asked me to design a logo for them and I came up with this DD candle lockup and custom type. Honor the Dearly Departed!

What I love about the culture around “street wear” or whatever you choose to call it is the creativity and passion that is behind it. It is not driven by money and big box dreams. Most of the people that get into the culture surrounding street wear, start their own line or open a core boutique do it because they are passionate about it. Believe me there is much more money in mainstream clothing and malls.

The Fresh Yard, in San Diego is a perfect example of a business driven by passion. They have a genuine love for the creativity. Check out their latest video “So Fresh” featuring the Benny Gold brand and all the other great brands that they carry. Our 1 year anniversary collaboration shirt also makes an appearance in the the video. You can pick yours up in our online store here. It is the first time that we did a women’s shirt.

One of the Benny Gold brands biggest supporter TouchScreen Trell is back with a new video! It’s the fans and the supporters like Trell that make everything possible and keeps us pushing forward. Thank you for the support homie!
