F/W 08 Drop 1

30 October 2008, 23.50 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

The first drop of the F/W line is on it’s way to the shops. This season continues to explore the themes of gold, youth, success and achievement and it marks a move away from a screenprinted neck tag. It’s also been 10 years since the last time I made a Stay Gold glider plane t-shirt- I lived in a studio apartment and printed them by hand with a mini screen in my kitchen. The brand has progressed so much since then but I’m still growing, learning, and pushing forward with my designs. This season’s collaboration comes from my friend David Potes of the photo ‘zine Hamburger Eyes. Thanks for lending your hand to the shirt Dave, I love the gold accents in the photograph – Canal St. style!

finally..

finally everything is out the door. UPS just came and picked up the last of the boxes. It almost filled the entire truck – no lie. I have been expanding the distribution of the line to select stores. Check the newly updated dealer list to see where it is available. Thank you for all your support! Now I need to get some pro shots of the F/W line up on the site. Never not working..

Fatlace Goes Gold

Most of the packing and shipping is done. The shipments should be available at your local shop soon. I appreciate all the shops that stock the line and I will be highlighting them as the product starts finding it’s way to their shelves. The first store highlighted is SF local Fatlace They have a great store in SF’s Japan town. They also share my love for bikes an boards – so you know it’s good. They are being really selective of what they are stocking and only putting brands they believe in to their store. If I had a store I would run it the same way. I am honored to be part of the fatlace fam. Thank you! It is also Mark Fatlaces birthday! Happy birthday homie!

One Block Sunday

25 October 2008, 19.06 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

My good friend Dirt is throwing a race in SF this Sunday. If you are around come down to Jackson Playground (across from the Parkside Bar) this Sunday at 1pm. I donated a few shirts and stickers as well as a few other sponsors. It should be a good time. See you there.

With A Little Help From Your Friends

22 October 2008, 17.25 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

All the shirts are back from the re-labler and printer. My good friends Gene and Ed stopped by to help me pack boxes. The first drop of this season will be in local Bay Area stores this week (Fatlace510 and Atlas). Everywhere else gets the shipment the following week. Hit up your local shop to see when they are putting it on the shelf. Alright, I have to get back to shipping.

Urist For Obama

20 October 2008, 19.06 | Posted in Uncategorized | 3 comments »

I was in NY over the weekend to talk to Gabriel Urist about an upcoming project. (more on that later). While I was there he gave me a silver Obama pendant that he created. I been rocking it proudly. Gabe is selling the pendants for $20. Hit him up here to get one for yourself. Make sure you tell him I sent you. The election is coming up and we need to make sure that Obama gets into office.

What It Takes

14 October 2008, 18.07 | Posted in Uncategorized | 3 comments »

If you couldn’t tell that I am a one man show, then you haven’t been paying attention. I handle every detail of getting the line out the door and on the shelves – design, production, sales, quality control, shipping and unfortunately harassing people for payments. Yesterday I spent my day packing boxes at the printer, to get the shirts ready for relabeling. I guess that is what putting a signature line out is all about. It’s knowing that the person behind it put time, love and sweat into every piece.

Mike Giant SF Show

13 October 2008, 19.09 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Wow! I checked out Mike Giants show in SF on Saturday. It was fucking amazing – I was really impressed. I liked how much of Mike is in his work. You can see his personality in each piece. The work was heavily bike influenced, so you know I am a fan. It was also really good to see Mike and catch up. Glad you are moving back homie. SF missed you.

Huge mural when you walked in of Joshys girl

HAHAH – there was even a drawing of my good friend Rob!

We missed you also while you were away!

Autobike-ographical

There is a bike show happening tonight in Portland that sounds very interesting. They asked custom frame builders to show the bikes they built for themselves. I am curious to see their personal rides.

Macaframa SF Premiere

09 October 2008, 20.00 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

Last night was the Macaframa premiere. A bunch of my friends have been working on SF’s 2nd fixed gear bike film. The commercials have been circulating for awhile and the anticipation has been building. Last night did not disappoint. It was a good time and the SF bike scene is as tight as ever. It is good to get everyone together in one place to enjoy a night of drinking and bikes.
