Random Beer Advertisement

I came across this beer advertisement in Luezers Archive Magazine. Archive showcases the best ads from around the world. Maybe the BG hat helped in some way to get this ad showcased - ha. Regardless I was amazed to find it.

After School Programs

I have been helping my friend with an after school skateboard program at a local Junior High. When I was in Jr high I used to try to skate the school grounds and ended up in detention real fast. It’s nice to see that times are changing and their are options outisde of the normal school activities.

A visit from The Hundreds

Before the Hundreds 1 year anniversary party Ben and Bobby stopped by my house to talk about upcoming projects and just catch up. I think they were more interested in my dog Levi then anything else. I can’t blame them thou. Levi rules and learned how to off leash walk this week. I am a proud parent. Check out some pics from our afternoon together on The Hundreds Site. Congrats on the anniversary guys!

My Niece Kills It!

My younger sister had her first child recently. It looks like my niece Hanna Rose is taking after her uncle Ben. Good fashion sense and an early love for skating - HA. I need to make it back to Florida to teach her some moves and get her a real board pronto!

Cinelli Follow Up

Antonio and Alessandra from Cinelli were in town from Italy this week. I met up with them for dinner and to catch up about the Mash / Cinelli bike we worked on with them.

Eric Zo came to dinner also. He loves bikes more then anyone i have ever met before. It’s his life. He also invented the one piece messenger bag. An interesting person to say the least.

After Dinner Gabe and I left to meet up for our friends birthday and a DLX dart shoot out.

Computer Arts Project Magazine recently ran a nice showcase on some of my logo work in their recent issue. We discussed the concepts and background behind some of my more recognizable logos. Check the magazine out at a news stand now. We also worked on a larger feature, with a more in-depth look at some of my other projects for a later issue. Thanks for the support!

City Skate Park Meeting

06 March 2009, 19.16 | Posted in Uncategorized | 5 comments »

Last night was the city meeting about the new skate park that is going in under one of sf’s busy overpasses. I was really happy to see a good amount of street skaters come out to show their support. The skate scene really wants to see a park dedicated to SF’s rich street skating history. Many of SF’s skate spots have been removed years ago by the city, but have been replicated in contest and street style plazas all over the world. It is only right that the SF skate park brings home some of it’s lost obstacles. Hopefully it works out the way we want it it to. It’s a hard battle because a street plaza is not what a city official thinks a skate park should look like. Wish us luck.
