Tribute to Hardcore Free Shirt Quiz

29 May 2009, 03.32 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

Today The Hundreds Tribute to Hardcore shirt series dropped at both of their SF and LA stores. They were nice enough to send me a box of the one that I designed. I want to give them away to the people that really wanted them but were unable to get to The Hundreds stores.

Feel free to use google or any other way to get the answers. This shirt and quiz are meant to be an introduction to something that I am passionate about. Hopefully you will find the music genre as exciting as I do. If not - no bid deal. It still was a fun project to be a part of.

The first 20 people email me the most questions correctly will receive a free shirt. Don’t forget to include your shirt size & address with your answers!

Maestro Knows Gold

I can really relate to LA personality Levi Maestro. He moved out to LA not knowing anyone and has made a name for himself. I did the same thing 11 years ago. Him and I are on similar paths of working hard and enjoying the days as much as we can. His newest episode just dropped with appearances by Jermaine Dupri and Nelly. I am stoked that Levi is rocking some of my shirts throughout the show. Thanks a lot homie and keep killing it!

The Hundreds: A Tribute To Hardcore Collaboration Shirt

27 May 2009, 02.04 | Posted in Uncategorized | 4 comments »

Skateboarding and punk rock has been played a huge part of my life. Having a brand is a great medium to express yourself and hopefully get people excited about the stuff that you find really inspiring. This is my collaboration shirt with The Hundreds for their Tribute To Hardcore series. The shirt will be releasing at both The Hundreds San Francisco and Los Angeles stores on Thursday May 28th. The graphic is based on few things that really stuck out to me growing up: The rawness of a concert flyer and the bands like Gorilla Biscuitsand Bold that adorned them.

Freeman Gravel Racer

Hopefully by now you know that I specialize in logo design. I had the pleasure of creating the branding for Montana’s custom bike builders Freeman Transport. They just released their new commuter frame the Gravel Racer. The bike is awesome! The finish is molded after a classic Colt .45 and comes with the bison headbadge and frame branding that I designed. A custom fitted frame for $985 is a deal! I am getting my order into them for one asap.

Knowledge is Golden

I get a lot of emails from younger kids asking how I got into graphic design and what steps they should take to follow a similar path. Studying design in art school is a great way to start. It’s how I got into design and helped me build a solid foundation to build on. I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and I am honored that they wanted to write a feature on me for the college’s student magazine. Hopefully I can help to inspire people to attend school and study design. I am really glad I did!

Rick Ross - Cigar Music feat. Masspike Miles (in a BG shirt)

19 May 2009, 22.23 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

I got an e-mail this morning telling me to check out Rick Ross’s new video because there was one of myshirts in it. If you want the same shirt that Masspike Miles rocked in this video I have a few left in my shop. Now I need to make some big enough to fit Rick Ross!

Studio Visit and Sock Samples

My long time friend Isaac came over the other day and posted some pics of my studio on the Slap Magazine site. He gave the first peak of some sock samples I am work on. Since he leaked it on twitter I have been getting a few questions about them. These are samples that I am hoping I can get completed for fall.

After School Skate Program and a Wedding

16 May 2009, 19.06 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

The last few days have been a little hectic and kept me away from the computer and work (which is a good thing). It started with my friend Rob and I skating the Jr. High after school skate program. Next day Rob calls me to let me know he is getting married at city hall in a half hour and he wants me to be there. I run home for the quickest shower and shave I have ever done in my life. I meet him at city hall and witness a really wonderful and heartfelt ceremony. Congratulations! One day we are skating together and the next we are toasting to your future. Aint life great!

Partners in Crime NE Sneak Pea

Mike Giant gave us a sneak peak of an up coming collab project between Me and Rebel 8 last week. I decided I will also give a small look of another piece from the project. Making sure the sizing is right before I send the artwork out to New Era. More to come on these caps when I get the samples in.
