It’s been a busy past few months around our SF Retail Store / Design Studio. Its always nice when a familiar faces show up. Here are a few highlights from the past month.

Friends, how many of us have them..

Justin “Ears” Williams, from DGK, came by with his son. Justin and I have been friends for a long time. I am glad to see him doing so well! Congrats on the new job!

Sean Desmond came by to pick up some of our collab shirts for The Tenderloin Project. If you missed the release this past Saturday, at our shop, you were sleeping. It was a good time and turnout!

Peas & Carrots Int. came through when Casey Veggie was opening for Mac Millers “The Incredibly Dope” tour. They dropped off some music and we been bumping it in the shop! Good luck with the rest of the tour!

All the way from South Korea Won came by to check out the new line and catch up. He is part of Sub Factory that stocks our brand in Seoul.

This Saturday we are excited to release an exclusive shirt that we worked on with Sean Desmond’s Tenderloin Project.

The Tenderloin Project is is look into San Francisco’s most overlooked neighborhood. Its a raw street-level look into a marginalized neighborhood. We are really happy to help introduce the project to our supporters to help grow awareness of the everyday struggles and hopes of the people that live in SF’s Tenderloin district.

Please get to our SF retail store early because we will only have a handful of shirts available. Black shirt with gold accents symbolize the hopes and dreams of the neighborhood.

The details have always been an important part of the Benny Gold brand. This year we are continuing to focus on the details and push them even further. I am really excited to find a use for these buttons.

This morning I stopped by the local factory that we use to see how our upcoming flannel shirts are coming along. We produce a lot of locally made products made right here in San Francisco. The flannels and coming soon to our SF retail location and our online store.

Here is a sneak peak. I can’t wait – they are looking really nice!

Heads up: there are less then 6 button down shirt left from of our original run in chambray and plaid.

A little something that we are working on with Common Magazine out of Japan. These will be available instore and go also out with all orders from our online store.

Robin Baker is in the park on the Low Card site. He makes skating the Potrero park look easy in a Benny Gold shirt. Thanks Robin!

Its also elimination time at Slap Magazines One In A Million Contest. The contestants wear the collab shirt we did with Joe Brook all throughout this episode. This series is really good! I’m looking forward to see how it turns out.

he holidays are wrapped up and its a new year. We have a lot of great things planned for the brand this year. Spring line sheets are out to all of our store accounts. Here is a little preview of what is to come.

For a fresh start to the new year we stitched up our packing tape color. It’s the added details like custom tape, packaging, extra stickers and random items included with orders that make ordering from us special.

All orders placed from our online store get hooked up.

Releasing tomorrow: Dearly Departed x Benny Gold “Grave Marker” Collection. It includes a t-shirt, hoodie, crew neck and New Era. Only a handful of stores will be releasing this collaboration.

Our friends Pile Co, in Japan, are at it again with an updated Common Magazine site. There are a bunch of past Benny Gold features on the new site. Check these interviews from 2008 and 2009.

Along with new site they produced these beautiful look book pages of our current collection. They are sending the pages out to all our Japanese accounts. They came out really great! I hope to get a few over here state side.
