Our collab with Real Skateboards is back in a new colorway. Don’t come running to our store for it thou.. it is exclusive to Japan. You are going to have to travel a little further if you want it, but it looks like it is sold out already.

The red and white board is colored for the Japanese flag and black and orange is SF Giants colors! To me it’s all about the top graphics on a board thou. They always make it feel that much more special.

The holidays are wrapped up and its a new year. We have a lot of exciting things planned for the brand this year. New line sheets are out to all of our store accounts. Here is a little preview of what is to come.

Fresh in from Japan is the newest issue of Common Magazine. We are giving them away free with purchases from our online store while supplies last. The issue also includes the only ad that we run, a Huf interview and a check out of the new DQM / Vans store in NY. It’s a solid issue!

Loading Store in Hong Kong & Taipei recently started documenting their customers. It’s nice to see so many people supporting the Benny Gold brand halfway across the globe from us.

It’s a new year and it’s going to be great! We have a lot of really cool projects in the works that I personally can’t wait to show you. Here is just a small sneak peek of whats to come from us in 2012. It’s going to be a big year!

Right before this past year came to an end Philadelphia native emcee Asher Roth played a show in SF. Asher recently signed to legendary Def Jam records and Jigga backs him – that is as official as it gets! I am honored that he rocked our Nordic Crew during his performance. If you slept on that crewneck you blew it because it’s already sold out in grey.

Thankfully local photographer Grady Brannan was at the show to get us pics of Asher. Thank you and happy new years!

It’s New Years Eve and I am spending it in the studio. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! Be safe and let’s all keep it creatively moving forward in the new year!

As this year draws to a close the 2011 best of lists start to surface. MashKULTURE compiled a “Best T-Shirts of the Year” list. I am honored to have made the list. Check out who else had a good t-shirt design this year here.

This year is drawing to an end and we are reflecting on 2011 as we get ready for new beginnings. This past year has been monumental for us! We expanded our SF retail store to a large location with more foot traffic and visibility. It was a huge undertaking, but well worth it.

The Benny gold brand has grown so much with with this expansion. We are now sold in 200 select boutiques around the world. As everything grows we also wanted to offer something classic.

The Stay Gold Glider Plane Logo has been a huge part of the brand even before there was a brand. I hand screened it for the first time in my studio apartment almost a decade ago. I crudely printed a red and white glider plane on a cheap navy t-shirt that I got from the corner store and gave it to my close friends. It can even be seen in 2003 cult classic Quality Of Life movie on my roomate at the time.

This is the first time that the t-shirt and crew neck sweatshirt is offered in the original navy color.

While a lot has changed since then and our identity and brand continues to grow, we have not lost sight of where we came from.

If Navy is not your style it is also available more on brand in black with a gold print.
