One of the only other brands that we carry in our SF retail store is Huf. They gave me my start in streetwear when I designed their original logo and they were also the first store to carry my product – for that I am forever grateful.

Woke up this morning and it’s cold out. My jeans are in a pile next to the bed, right where I left them. I slide into them and sniff that tee I wore yesterday to make sure it doesn’t reek…it’ll do—socks, check. All I need now is the centerpiece, my favorite flannel, and i’m good to go. It’s not where I left it. I look everywhere twice—no luck. “Where the hell is my….! Ahhh”. I spot my girl curled up on the couch, my flannel sliding off her shoulder. She looks over and says “You mind?”. “Naw, you got it”, but of course I mind… but damn, she looks so good in it. That’s love.

Over the weekend I stopped in on my friends at 510 Skateshop in Berkley, Ca. 510 is one of the best skate shops I have ever been to. I have been going to their shop long before the Benny Gold brand was started and long before they started to carry the line. It’s awesome to have the support of stores that inspired you. I also had the pleasure to design their logo a few years back. They just released a set of snapback hats with the logo on it and I had to pick one up. They came out great!

Good seeing you guys! Keep killing it on the other side of the bridge!

We are rounding a year in our 16th street retail store next month. After being in the new space for a little while I decided it was time for some store upgrades. You already saw the sticker vending machine and golden tickets, but there were a few more additions..

Window boxes for display really completed the space and gave it a solid flow.

Our display case was getting too full so we made some new space on the counter for our growing accessory range. It’s really starting to become a focus for the brand.

New shoe display area – expect more shoes in the store really soon!

Speaking of stickers and the importance of them to our brand we just got a new run in. What is that hiding in the sticker pile?

All the blogs and forums were in heavy debate yesterday about Lil Wayne’s questionable fashion sense. I am happy to see our Scout Trooper hat safe on Mack Maine as they sat court side together at the 2011 NBA All-Star Game.

And we thought Black Metal was the only music coming out of Norway. Lars Rubix shows us that there is also a Norwegian hip-hop scene alive and well. Glad to see that he has better taste in gear then Weezy – just sayin.

You all know how important stickers are to me and the Benny Gold brand. The Brand spawned from just 1 simple sticker. Don’t let anyone tell you that the little things don’t matter. We paid homage to our beginnings by adding a gold colored sticker vending machine in our SF retail store.

Hidden in the machine are a few surprise Golden Tickets. Let’s try again and see what happens.
