We’ve just got a whole new CRIB in PARIS since a couple of dayz…

If you dont know. Now you know.

Im really happy about that news. I mean we finally got an office and a new space/creative playground in PARIS to be able to do EVERYTHING WE WANT… Also, Im fukin happy to open that space with a project with my friend and great french artist JR and his brazilian new foundation CASA AMARELA.

Honestly it was really important for us to open that space with a charity and human project, that’s why JR was the perfect partner for that. All the pics we use to stick on our walls was taken from the young kids of the favelas. And then we did create the whole installation above it, with the concrete ground and the house roughly made. DO BRAZEOU! It was a hard work to set up everything but the result is really cool. I mean, to be really honest I were not the guy behind the workout session, but my partner GREG did a good job on it. (for ones… lol)

Many people keep asking what is this new space about? How do you gonna call it?

Well this space is actually a store+a gallery+a pop-up shop+ a black rainbow brand flagship… Because you gonna find all the items of our own brand. It is a mix of everything we do love and we want to share with visitors, friends and family. You can call it ARCHIVES, LA CAVE or BKRW space…

We just dont care about labels and name anyway.

Les joies de la banlieue française!

I love french suburb. More precisely the 94 but actually Ive got an appointment in the 92 yesterday afternoon : LA GARENNE-COLOMBES… Wtf!!!??? 2 hours of train and 1 hours of horse later (just kidding 20min in scooter)…

We’ve been invited with my partner GREG to DOMEAU & PERES office for a whole afternoon. Ok Their offices are really nice but most of all they’ve got such a great skill with leather.

They can “leathered” anything. Look at this wonderfull FIAT 500 (white rolls-royce paint)… Alpaga for the rooftop… Butter leather everywhere inside… Wowowowow… My pics are actually not really good (for ones) and this amazing car deserve a real photoshoot… maybe soon

Last week in PARIS… Many things to deal as usual…

But got a very unexpected nice visit of the “most sexy hairy aussie guy on earth” WOODY x SNKR FRKR founder, with his whole little family.

Coming in Europe for WOODY is not a party trip 20h of plane. He got nice project coming up with sneakers company and after AMSTERDAM decided to stop a bit in PARIS. It was a good family day!

Got a sneak peek all together into the new RENAULT exhibition on their parisian show-room. Great old school / vintage RENAULT cars.

We’ve been also pretty busy with the launch of many BLACK RAINBOW products : right after our third varsity jacket, the whole new BLACK RAINBOW SPORTSWEAR CLASSIC collection and then followed by our exclusive first PEACOAT.

Im really more and more proud about our products. Always limited to 50 pieces, really not that expensive and with a nice quality. Im most of all really happy about the whole result : nice twisted clothes. People seems to really like it, and it’s great.

I like all the details we’ve been putting on it. Such as those really nice purple handtag in the back of the tops and on the pocket of the denim and fleece jogging pants.

Also got the visit of two new young maverick french producers : THE TWINS. Those guyz are coming in our shop since a big while. And now starting doing their own project, it seems that we can help them… Perfect give and go indeed…

Check the last remix they’ve done BEYONCE “EGO” one. Honestly their sound is really fresh and each time they are doing a remix im really into it. Check their latest video : Because those guyz are doing a remix and a fresh video to spray it around the digital world. Smart. Nice!

Young generation is definitely not sleeping. Im happy to see that BKRW and BLACK RAINBOW is now also building a whole crew, a big cultural and artistical network, made by so many different talented people. (it sounds really cheezy but its true)

At last but not at least, it was XMAS time today at the office. Got a very nice present from COLETTE. The new REEBOK PUMP 20TH ANNIVERSARY x Colette. Wow. MERCI SARAH and GUILLAUME for the nice hook-up!

Great make-up. Really well made. Perfectly matching with our new PEACOAT… lol

Cant wait to wear it on court!

sometimes the week is just doing good…

it starts with a day to follow my good friend JR and his team starting his whole new collage on Ile St Louis in Paris, this guy is really crazy and his new gigantic parisian project gonna be another blast!

I’ve been also really happy to kinda see and follow the backstage of this kind of collage. Emile and David are also some important key players of that kind of artistic production. They stay in the dark but what a crazy job!

The JR team headquarter is located inside a primary school…

And every single parisian spot has been prepared and is organised since months! A real war map!

Then this morning I did receive a really nice package from AUSTRALIA. The very new 16th SNEAKER FREAKER ISSUE with the sneaker freaker x skippy x 850 x nb preview and a crazy story about REEBOK PUMP. The guyz of Black Rainbow Shop (to Citadium) just work on a new display of the corner. Actually they did work very well and the new result looks more than nice and clean.Some of the biggest fridges have been dropped off. And a new black and purple giant sticker has been sticked.

Specially fitted for the new premium shit such as RED WINGS SHOES or new STAPLE Fall 09…

Im really happy about that result. It was a great production from HERON, and a great work for Albrecht GERLACH the mad germano-brazilian photographer. Or cinematographer as Heron called him.

We’ve received a very interesting new silhouette made by La Chaussure LACOSTE and ATMOS. I really like this mid version of the CABESTAN. I love also the very good use of the sponge material of the upper (terry toweling) which is a very good pick for such an american yachting/boating inspiration design.
