This it the very last day of our trip in NYC.

And honestly this very last day was a real nightmare. The weather was horrible, it was raining like shit. Each drop was like a bottle of EVIAN (this joke is working in french, I dont know if its funny in english lol), and the worst part is that I get lost around bedford street in BKLYN. And the stuff I were supposed to pick up where not even here when I finally find my way… A real night mare.

Then on the way to see CAPSULE tradeshow, I see CLASSIC KICKS shop. Really nice, some good brands and nice sneakers.

But inside I got a weird experience with the CLASSIC KICKS guyz, first they didn’t accept my 100 dollars cash (In France they’ve given me old ones) and then I’ve asked to take pictures of the shop and they didn’t accept… Well I mean its not the first time and either the first shop that didn’t accept we’ve taken some pics of their inside, but sometimes I dont get why people are so protectives with images… anyway my day was really bad… lol

Finally I’ve arrived to CAPSULE tradeshow and it was really good…

nice people, good brands (STAPLE, CLAE, NO MAS, DOUBLE GOOSE, WOOD WOOD), the place (old church) is amazing, and the mix of fashion, street culture and accessories was really good.

And then a last massage, and we went to JFK to take our plane! Actually our plane got 1h30 of delay… lol A real not so good day… Life is like a box of chocolate…

Today I’ve got to meet my friend HERON. So got to go at CANAL ST. I like to see my friends for real, even if we’ve start friendship online. HERON drive me around…

Then we went to FIGHT CLUB. The mosty expensive sneakers shop in da world. Where is going sneaker culture by the way? Do you got your last ultimate undftd x stussy x bape x nike x jordan x fujiwara x ma soeur en string x … shoes? lol! Im joking but since all the big majors brand get their marketing hands on this culture, things are less and less funny, isnt it?

Washington square… Again… Amazing skilled players…

HERON’s new office x NAKED COMMUNICATION… niiiccceeee!

Then I’ve met DAVID and his lovely gf. Why are you always follwing me around the world man! such a parasite this guy! lololol!

Then we walked all together with also JEFF x Weekly Drop to some shop around broadway (atrium, nom de guerre, cockpit…)

Then  I’ve finished this day alone on the 5th avenue… Do you know HENRI BENDEL… Old money x No money women store in NYC. Fashion classical temple!

And finally a so cool chilling dinner with Denis x MIGHTY HEALTHY and his so nice/kind/funny wife. I love those guyz : humble, modest, talented, discret… It was a good dinner and a nice moment (how many nice in this sentence lol)

We’ve finished our second day at the ADICUP tournament on the PIER. Honestly I were quite surprised that as the winner of the last edition in GERMANY (1 year ago with my former magazine WARE) we were not invited… Strange isnt it?

Regarding this very event, it was really cool and chilling. Nice people, amazing view on NYC, fabolous sunset light. And a great winner. What else?

As we just arrived I bumped into my friend HERON, always on the best spot! With Damian COLLINS from SILVERSPOON.

Then we finish the day in a very amusement park japanese restaurant NINJA. It was funny and the food was okay but not so good. Honestly they’ve recreate a japanese EDO-village inside the restaurant quite amazing!

So another day in NYC.

The weather is perfect not too hot, really sunny and softly windy. Perfect!

We’ve start this day around SOHO and WASHINGTON PARK

Then keep going, passing nearby a women streetbasket ball tournament on a bball playground.

A new TV show is coming up… So 60’s!

Then have a quick brunch with GREG!

I’m searching for some SOPRANOS like italian trattoria… This might be this one…

This is what happend when you are walking too much even with some good sneakers…

BROADWAY street was closed for some kind of festival. BBQ and exotic food everwhere, so damm cool!

Then we had a stop to APPLE STORE. Of course we really want to try it for real after have been teased by DENNIS x CROOKS and JEFF x STAPLE at BBB. And we have not been disapointed at all. It’s amazing so many good tricks and so easy to use. My biggest surprise was the YOUTUBE partnership. The video looks amazing on the iPHONE screen. We’ve even found SARAH x colette… Simply efficient. But for sure not yet perfect.

Then we keep going in this area, going inside all the best spot. Starting with A KID BAPE ROBOT. Oups KID ROBOT. lol

Then ADIDAS originals store.

Right next door STUSSY/HEAD PORTER store.

Then the BAPE store.

UNIQLO

After all this emotions and energy spent to visit all this spot, being kinda disapointed or just not even been surprised by them. It was kinda logical to maje a pause and try some really good FOOT MASSAGE.

Speaking of Asia it was high time to move and switch from another area, near chinese village… And on the way we’ve started with SSUR store.

Then ALIFE one.

In front of ALIFE, Greg show me an amazing CANDY store, a dream for all the kids and the older one.

Then REED space. Front door.

Back door. OR vice-versa.

Then leaving for PROJECT tradeshow. Helping for GUILTY booth set up. It was like a haunted tradeshow, nobody around (so late)… Kinda freaky lol.

Yesterday morning I could not keep going to post. I were starving and need to get some food… So here are the end of my first day in NYC…

Brooklyn baby! First stop at BOUNDLESS and check our friends for KING STAMPEDE! As we arrived in front of the shop PETEr was arriving to his shop/office…

The rest of the team was inside! I’ve loved the pink short of MIKOL! (Does this sentence sounds gay?lol)

DAVID (their big dog) seem totally astonished to see us!

Anyway, FALL 07 KS collection was everything except boring!

Then we walked a couple of block from BOUNDLESS and went to the new MISHKA headquarter BKLYN/Williamsburg…

Then coming back on MANHATTAN to keep doing our NYC experience… Cross the bridges by cab this time…

Saw some amazing graffiti on the walls, I thought only french guyz were able to use “extincteurs“ and thanks to them draw some gigantics letters on the walls…

Around SOHO go to check CLIENTELE sneakers shop and SUPREME… Honestly nothing special to talk about… Are all the collections and all the sneakers less powerfull those times…

Then the day was nearly finishcoming back in our hotel around TIMES SQUARE… HARRY POTTER countdown was keep going to run…

And we finish th dayin one of the most awfull restaurant I’ve ever been  in my life, I dont even mention his name just to not make some ads on this piece of shit (expensive and awfull). Sometimes when you are arriving in a town you are not so familiar you’ve got to trust the guides. But sometimes the guides (new yorker, zagat, village voice) are some fucking liyer… burk!

But the countdown was nearly finished, cant stand to start to read the last episode of HARRY POTTER!

Frenchies are in town!

Follow us in our “work“ trip from Paris to NYC, and in every stop we gonna make during our travel.

We nearly miss our plane (once again) but GREG finally save a little time to test the new 2E terminal in PARIS. Nice chair!

8 hours laters… On the road to rock NYC! First stop to our hotel (QT HOTEL)

Ostrich leather… We’ve ID our bed! lol

Hehehehe !  HARRY POTTER countdow on timessquare can’t wait the last book…

Then on the road to see our friends and partners… NYC metro!

Just before our BBB trip, I went with my mini-man APOLLO and his son ROCK to SHOES UP office. SHOES UP is a french sneaker magazine. It is not my favorite magazine, but honeslty the last two isssues were really better with somer nice featuring.

They are doing a really good work with some exclusive itw such as FUTURA, METHANPHBIAN, and it’s quite interesting because they are not only focus about sneakers, they are also focus about sport shoes, or more street (mass-market) one. Anyway the crew is really nice, modest, humble, discret and cool. And their office is just so chilled, so fresh. Better than a thousands one in Paris for sure! Look at this!

They are always changing their design and inside decorations. Something like every 3-4 months.

 They’ve even got their own mini-studio for all the packshot they are making for the magazine. Nicccceeee…

 A big meeting room and a big warehouse. I love this place! lol! Really!

A very big thanks to Julien (asian afro guy) and the founder of SHOES UP Nicolas (smarty whit guy) and all the SU crew for their warm welcome and nice moment at their office.

SO happy to go in BBB I forget to do some backup of my website, and I’ve done at the same time some maintenance work (more memory, more bandwith etc…) on my server…

Then…

Since saturday night BKRW is DOWN…

Of course I know it’s temporaly, and I know everything would be up soon, but anyway it’s kinda weird and strange feeling to not see BKRW online on the screens….

Argh!
