Another day in HK…

Food is a real passion for me, and also for GREG. I think I am taking more pictures of food than buildings, clothes or even people…

This meal is called CHAR SIU FAN my favorite dish of the world, ever, ever! This one from YUNG KEE was really good. A little bit dry but the taste of honey was amazing!

Then we’ve received this amazing fruit plate, made by this talented chef. IT tooks nearly 20 minutes to wait for that birdy fruit plate. This is craftmanshift, a real sense of detail…

And between the fruit were amazing…

Michael Lau is an iconic figure of HK, street culture… A very talented nice guy. It was also good to meet again FLORANCE… We did spend an incredible time to speak and chat about our market, the differences between CHINA streetculture and US or EUROPEAN one…

We are just landed from Singapore to HK…

Im so happy to be back in HK. Look Even in the toilet you’ve got super new fresh clean dry TOTO system…

Then right when you go out from the airport the first move is to grab the AIRPORT EXPRESS SHUTTLE… Greg seems really excited to be back in HK too…

Our first visit, was to see and lunch with our old times friend and DENIM GENIUS, MARTIN x RMC x YOROPIKO…

Then Martin brought us in his new office…

With a real crazy toys collection. In Europe, toys are not so popular that they used to be, maybe as popular but less hyped and edgy. But in Asia, toys culture is really strong…

Then Martin offer me to do my very own yoropiko denim. They’ve taken 30min to really cut and sew and make it fit perfectly to me. An incredible work to watch…

Martin’s denim are real piece of art. I mean, you might dont like the cut or the fit and the embroderies of his denim, but if you look at the work, the materials and all the small details and the dedication he is putting in each denim you have to admit that they are true amazing pieces.

Then we’ve moved to see TK. His office, his new store.

UNDERCOVER staff x streetlook

We’ve spent more than 2 hours in that office. Meeting everyobdy and chatting with TK to really understand what was THINK SILLY, SILLY THING, and all the works/projects he is doing. His new online magazine… You can deny that his work, and his whole team are really impressive. It is always interesting to exchange ideas and opinions about our culture, our market, our differences and our similarities specially when you’ve got two companies really similar (but not with the same financial power lololol) such as BKRW and THINK SILLY…

It was really inspiring and interesting… More to come for sure…

Finally the night was already here, when we left TK. End of the day back in HK, to have a late dinner in Central, with friends. Today was a good dayè!

Tonight I will post our yesterday tour, with a very nice moment with toyz master MICHAEL LAU…

Here we go on the road again (finally, gasp!)! BKRW is just landing in HK and SINGAPORE for a couples of days.

First of all I would like to prop’s CATHAY PACIFIC new economy class design : the seats are really much bigger, and when you want to lay down, the person seated behind you is not obliged to lose his small vital space left (same kinda process of the business class, the seat is moving on himself). They’ve done also a great improvement with the cinema onboard : more than 100 movies, and cool video games, the 11 hours flight was really easy… CATHAY and SINGAPORE AIRLINES are for me the two best plane companies, always at the lead (WAKE UP AIR FRANCE!)

Then a second flight for a first stop in Spore, where I use to spend lots of time when I were 20… The city is really changing quickly… Less shops, malls and malls everywhere, a really quiet atmosphere, people less focus on buying, less teenagers in the streets… Weirdo, I really use to love that town and today I feel more cold about it. But damm how’s also good to be back : meet my old pal for SURRENDER x AMBUSH, go and see the sneakers shop such as LEFT FOOT and LIMITED EDITION (which did open a new shop called VAULT with a nice bank set-up). I wish to show you some pics, but my memory card broke done and I’ve lost all the first day pics

We’ve found a cool hotel NAUMI (thanks to my big brother Alvin x Ambush for the tips), not deep downtown, but quiet and nice design, and most of all with an amazing roof top pool, beautiful spore night view.

Today was a good day.

Then it was the second day. And we were running out of time. 2 highlights :

1) A dinner in my favorite chinese restaurant worldwide ever CRYSTAL JADE with amazing Hsia long pao (some kind of “succulent” juicy dumpling) and the best SWEET AND SOUR PORK ever made! Watch this!
