After taking a few months off, ‘95 Live is back in DC at a new and bigger location featuring a highly calibrated, state of the art Fulcrum sound system! The only place in DC to hear the best in old school from the illest DJs. No cover, no stress!

Peace! Commonwealth DC will be hosting the “H.R. Documentary Fund Raiser / C’MON X H.R. Product Launch” November 2nd. The legendary frontman of Bad Brains will be in-store between 8p to 10p, and will be available for autographs and conversation. In addition we will also be releasing “C’MON & H.R.” partnered products in which proceeds will go to the HR documentary by Small Axe Films. Your support will directly benefit the finishing of this important documentary. The Washington Post states,

“There are few rock icons more overdue for a film treatment than Bad Brains; gifted, eccentric and ferociously energetic frontman H.R., and finally he’s getting one.”

We highly recommend arriving early, capacity is limited and we’d like everyone to get a chance to meet H.R.. For more information please check the flyer above.

In addition, immediately after the in-store event we will be migrating to the U Street Music Hall (1115 U St.) for the official after party. Live performances by H.R. and Human Rights, and music selections from DJ’s Stereo Faith (Mousetrap/DC) and Kenny Meez (Federeation Sound/NYC).

Peace! Available this weekend will be special edition Commonwealth and Crooks & Castles tee’s and New Era’s. The release follows a common theme oft “Every Saint Has a Past, and Every Sinner Has a Future.”

The “Crooks & C’mon” New Era features a merging of our “Ribbon” logo and the Crooks’ “Chain C” logos, and is prominently located up front featuring a semi-raised embroidery. The back continues the blending of logos with a small flat embroidered “Crooks & C’mon” hit on the back. To finish off the piece, we’ve added a kelly green underbill with an Olde English embroidery of – “Every Saint Has a Past, and Every Sinner Has a Future.” Available in a classic Black, or Cardinal.

The same design principles we applied to the New Era’s are carried onto the “Crook & C’mon” tee. Featuring the “Ribbon/Chain” logo up front, and a large “Crooks & C’mon” hit on the back. This tee will be available in Black and Cardinal to match the caps, and an added White/Navy colorway.

In addition, we will be releasing the “Saints & Sinners” tee shortly after. This shirt boast large front and back graphics. Up front, “Every Saint Has a Past” is layered on top of tonal Commonwealth’s “Ribbon-C” logo. The reverse side belongs to the Crooks, with “Every Sinner Has a Future” plastered on top of the “Chain-C” logo. This tee will be available in White, Black, and Heather Grey.

To celebrate the drop of the Crooks & Castles and Commonwealth special release we will be hosting instore events at both Commonwealth locations. The Crooks Design Team will be present for the DC shop event.

The “Watch Out” tee was designed exclusively for Stussy DC by Eric Elms, and is based off of one of two installation pieces the artist created for our DC Chapter Store. Available in white, heather grey, or black.

Below is the “Seal” tee featuring a large “Stussy DC” up front paired with the “Lion” logo flipped to meet DC’s politically charged atmosphere. The reverse side boasts a red, white and blue seal, with the Stussy stock logo taking center stage. Available in black or white.

Lastly, we’re reintroducing the “DIstrict” tee in a new red colorway. This has proven to be one of the locals choice, and sold out rather quickly. We’re guessing this one will do the same. So come through the DC Chapter store May 15th, asap to secure your “District’ tee.
