Commonwealth was lucky enough to be offered two teams for the Vans & MLB “Opening Day” pack. Of course, DC got the Nationals, and Commonwealth VA was honored with the Baltimore Orioles. Seem strange? Well, since Virginia has no MLB team, many have adopted the Orioles as their home team. In addition, the O’s farm team, the Norfolk Tides, play ball only minutes away from the shop.

The Orioles “Opening Day” pack feature a “Sk8 Hi Standard Issue” with black leather uppers, canvas side panels, subtle white and orange contrast stitching, two top orange eyelets, and an embroidered “O’s” logo on the heel. The pack also includes a limited edition Majestic Authentic Jersey with MLB and Vans branding.

Of course we wanted to finish the pack off with something extra and readily available to our patrons. So we’ve teamed up with New Era to create the “B-More” C-Ribbon 5950 fitted. This cap features a black crown, orange visor and button, kelly green under bill, an embroidered “C-Ribbon” logo up front, and an “Anvil” logo hit on the back.

Peace! Opening season is just around the corner, and we’ve partnered with Vans for the “Opening Day Collection.” You’ve probably already seen the Washington Nationals pack consisting of an Era LX and limited edition Majestic Authentic Jersey, but now were are releasing images of the accompanying New Era 5950 fitted to compliment the two. This Commonwealth “Ribbon C” cap features a Nationals color way with a wool ‘Scarlet’ crown and visor, embroidered “Ribbon C” logo with a midnight navy outline, tonal “For the Greater Good” embroidery on the side, and a flat embroidered “C’MON Anvil” logo on the back, to finish it off we’ve added a gray underbill.

The collection is slated to release April 5th at Commonwealth DC. The “Opening Day Collection” is limited to 12 pairs; however, we’ve increased the numbers for the “DC New Era” so everyone will have a chance to cop. And don’t forget to root for the Nationals as they face-off the Phillies later that day.

The “Takeover” tee features a vintage postcard graphic of the Capitol building, reworked with some definitive D.C. Hardcore influences. The back features a small graphic hit with Stussy’s lion icon, and “Big Take Over!!” This shirt is available in your choice of black, white, or gold.

The second tee to be released is “The District” tee. Featuring large Stussy type treatment graphics on the front and the back. Available in black or white.

DC get ready! Next Thursday, March 25th Commonwealth is proud to present “Top Billin.” Featuring Chad Hugo (N*E*R*D/Neptunes) and Hip Hop Dan as ‘Missle Command’. You do not want to miss this event. In defiance of the winter storms that had hit the nations capitol, Commonwealth DC kicked off the official U.S. launch of the “ALL GONE” book on February 11th. Author, Michael Dupouy, was on hand to sign copies and chat with the crowd. We’d like to thank everyone who braved the snow and freezing temps to help us celebrate the launch and we hope you picked up your copy.

Peace! The Stussy DC chapter will be releasing two new tee’s exclusive to the Nations capitol this Saturday, Feb 13th. This time around the DC chapter pays homage to Washington’s world famous landmarks.

The “Chillin’” tees inspiration is easily I.D.’d by DC natives. The world famous Ben’s Chili Bowl is a staple to our city, and has been serving the likes of Bill Cosby, Anthony Bourdain, President Obama and thousands more since Ben and Virginia Ali first opened their doors in 1958. Ben and Virginia have seen both good and bad times, and have stayed true and original since day one, making their restaurant a respected landmark in DC. Our take on the restaurants iconic signage is featured on both the front and back of the shirt, and is available in your choice of black or white.

The second tee slated to release is the “Monuments” tee. A wider audience will easily identify these DC landmarks. They’ve been attracting travelers through out the world since L’Enfant laid out the plans for D.C. in 1791. This tee is similar to the Stussy “World Tour” tees and features the names of some of DC’s most visited buildings and monuments: the White House, Capitol Building, Supreme Court, and etc.
