Behind The Scenes Footage Coming Soon

This past Monday (Nov 1, 2010), I had the honor of visiting Jose Abellar and David Ayala’s creative space. The pair are the brains behind cut & sew brand, ‘Gilbert & Lewis’. A very progressively modern line with strong vintage influences.

We tossed the ball around and discussed future collaborations and received a sneak peek of their F/W 2010 line as well as their S/S 2011 pieces. These guys are really doing some amazing things over there; and I’m proud to be a part of it.

The highlight of my visit was being introduced to my biggest fan while I was there. Her name is Paloma; which translates to “Dove”. She is easily one of the brightest people I have ever had the privilege of meeting.

My entire visit, she (Paloma) was engaged in drawing sketches of aliens raiding the Earth in search of candy and unicorns. She stole my heart and I believe a Dave & Buster’s outing is in the immediate future; for all involved parties.

It really is an honor when people stand behind what you do; and an even greater honor when you, in turn, stand behind what they do. This is the start of an amazing relationship.
