Our Holiday 2009 collection is getting very close, new styles are rolling into the warehouse each day. We got our tees from our printer this morning and the collection is looking pretty solid.

Last month adidas invited Second Son to design eight pairs of kicks using their ‘mi originals’ system as part of their first London street Fashion Show.  Haven’t heard of Second Son?  Will Kemp and his London crew have been making dope clothing for almost 5 years now…you might’ve seen his work for Carhartt Europe too.  Anyway..two of their colourways have been made available for purchase at the adidas Originals store on Earlham Street in central London, along with an exclusive free Second Son logo tee.  Two colourways of the classic adidas ZX700 model are available: one is a clean black and yellow pair inspired by their Weather Pattern print, while the other is a fresh turquoise and white colourway designed to match the Cosmic Shit tee.  To celebrate, Second Son is spreading the love by giving away a FREE PAIR of the kicks. Merchandising and presentation are a really important aspect of the retail game.  Some of our shops have been killing it, and we wanted to show them off.  1st up is Phat Kaps, featuring the DURKL Riggs Bomber and Confet-tee.  Although Supras aren’t really our style, this fit almost makes us want a pair.

Next up is VA boutique Elite Boardshop.  Elite has some great tee boards that look even better with DURKL tees on them. Staff are even better merchandising, shout to our boy Elliot rocking the Script Logo.

Social Study has been steadily supplying Maryland with fresh gear for the better part of the decade.  The compartmentalized hat rack and bicycle displays look great.  I see some Warrior Footwear peeking on that shoe display too.

This Halloween, DURKL invites you to come down to the garage, and trick or treat in style for the 1st annual DURKL CASH ‘N CARRY Sale.  What the heck is a Cash ‘n Carry Sale you ask? Our friend from college just launched a new online web service called PageLime. Basically, its a web-content management site, that lets you update the content, images, and documents on your web site without installing any software. PageLime, saves you time with uploads and re-edits, while allowing clientele to maintain control over content. Given that most of you have a blog, webstore, design firm etc, thought it would be cool to expose y’all to PageLime.  We are also helping them with a giveaway as they launch their service. Uptown DC’s rap king XO, fresh off a Diamond District performance at CMJ, just released a new video for his song “All I Had.” It’s pretty tight visually, and the song bumps too.

The Red Bull “Art of the Can” exhibit was showing at Union Station in DC this week, so we took a walk over and checked it out.  It is really amazing some of the items people made from art supplies and Red Bull cans.  This octopus was freakin’ huge!
