The 443 denim comes in a straight leg fit constructed of custom 14oz indigo dyed redline selvedge denim.  The raw jeans also feature custom metalware, an unique keyring belt loop and are finished with classic topaz gold chainstitching.  The jeans retail for $98.99 and can be bought online at http://shop.durkl.com or at DURKL retailers worldwide.

Tomorrow (Feb 23) we will be hosting an in-store event with Ohio MC Stalley from 5-7:30pm.  In case you are late, Stalley has released the critically acclaimed madlib-inspired “The Autobiography,” and now “Lincoln Way Nights”. His music videos “Slapp” “S.T.A.L.L.E.Y.” “Babblin’” “Address” and “Do It Big” have been in rotation on MTV Jams and MTVu.  Stalley is also performing on Wednesday night live at Liv on U st.  The event will be at our warehouse (443 i st nw) and is open to all ages.

Sunday, May 30th (Memorial Day Weekend) from 11AM-7PM, we are throwing our first annual DURKL Block Party.  the event will be held in a huge private parking lot on the corner of 5th and EYE street, NW…next door to our warehouse.  this event is for everyone…it’s not about our brand; it’s about Washington DC coming together.  come one come all.

If there is one slept on artist from DC its rapper/producer Oddisee.  Dude is definitely your favorite rapper you haven’t heard of yet.  Whether producing for the likes of Little Brother, Talib, and Freeway, rapping solo on projects like “Mental Liberation” or linking up the YU and XO to form Diamond District, (which is definitely our favorite rap trio since De La) Oddisee makes moves!  For the next two months, Oddisee is going to be posting on the DURKL blog, as he travels and tours through Europe.  Jump over there this weekend and check him out in London!

In honor of their new site launch featuring the distro league, Frank sent a correspondent over to DURKL to capture what we are up to, whats good in Obamatown, and some insight into what makes DURKL tick.  It turned out dope, and we are amped to continue working with FRANK151.

Our Holiday 2009 collection is getting very close, new styles are rolling into the warehouse each day. We got our tees from our printer this morning and the collection is looking pretty solid.
