Anyone remember these?
I was going thru our adFunture Archive for a magazine coverage we have to do in Taiwan, and I came across the Dunk Hi adFunture did with SBTG back in 2004.

These came out back in 2004, and were sold via FreshnessMag. Titled “Boulevard”, 24 pairs were made. Sold out pretty quickly, like 10mins. Of course, this was back in 2004. Fast forward to 2011, that might take a bit longer than 10 mins. Not to say SBTG’s work on these weren’t great, they are very nice even when I look at them today, but the sneaker market has changed quite a bit since 2004 to say the least. I have good memories from this project, SBTG was cool with work with, very talented. It was project like this early on that set adFunture apart from other designer figures company back in da day, I suppose; adFunture was never just about designer figures. We make other things, projects, whatever that interest us. Is more of a reflection of our own livestyles, the ones who work in/with adFunture. Anyways, just wanted to put this up here for record sake. Been there, done that, next~ We should look forward.

Got gifted by the New Balance crew today, they sent over this pair of hottie; Mita x New Balance MT580. Quite like the wood grain effect on these. I lost count of how many MT580 the two companies made already, but this is different one that I can wear alot. Thanks Michael and the NB crew.

I was in Hong Kong again for a few days. It was an off-week in the Mainland due to National Holidays.

Met up with Young Kim aka Suitman over Korean BBQ dinner. I picked up my Suitman x Visvim Shirt from the man himself. The shirt has Suitman’s personal touch to it where he did the actual stitching, embroideries on the back of the shirt. Only 15 pieces were made this way. I’ll take more photos of it when I get back to the studio.
For those who will be in Shanghai on Oct 15th, Suitman will have a special exhibition at the DIESEL Store in Plaza66 that night. If you are in town, come check it out. 20 Years of Suitman, consider this exhibit a retrospect of the man’s works. I’m sure it will be another great event, and I’m excited already!
Another shoe on this blog. Why not?!

A collaboration between Guang-Zhou fixie team STAR TRACK and footwear label WOZZUP SNEAKER. This design is simple yet sharp. I quite like the shape of the shoe. I rarely wear non-sneaker styles, but I gave this a try and is quite comfy. This will drop next month in Asia.

Even when I was a kid, my favorite Star Wars character has been the bounty hunter Boba Fett. No, not Stormtrooper. So, I was bummed out when Fett wasn’t included in the first Star Wars x adidas Series.

Finally, this second round of collab included this dangerous character. Adidas ZX-800 was chosen as the sneaker platform. So, this became my first and only ZX 800. Love it!

Astro Boy super collector. This was a shot from the studio of Hong Kong designer “Ultraman”. He is more known for his metal figures, but in reality, his studio is filled with Astro Boy toys.

Central, Hong Kong. Right across from SOPH., APC, FIL, Nowhere Store. So, the dollar has grown?

A piece from Jeremy Scott’s current Adidas collection. Love the license plate concept here.

During New York Comic-Con 2010, adFunture will be releasing a number of new items. Some were disclosed before, some were delayed until now, and then some were never seen before.
I figured I’d start by showing a piece that was never mentioned before.

SKATEBOARD YOKA is a new series designed to add to the existing YOKA collection. For its debut, we have invited our friend ANTZ from Singapore to grace the first deck. This set, edition of 300, will first be sold in NYCC, at the camp of MyPlasticHeart. Don’t miss out~

Got myself a new toy; a new camera to be exact. I was just taking random shots over the weekend. Thought I should post some of them here.

This, however, not so random. This is actually a new item we are working on with PROTEST DESIGN in Hong Kong.

I’ve been wearing their accessories for the past 2 years, so I asked the boyz to make something for adFunture. Can’t tell what it is? Show u more later~

Went silent on you again for a while, but I was working hard all the way through….

In between official YOKA Series production, I did a small capsule for SIZE Magazine in China, an edition of 30pcs all sprayed by yours truly. I was never a real artist myself, but I think these came out okay.

New Balance sent over something that they knew I was waiting for ever since the tradeshow! The MA-1 inspired MT580, due out this A/W. Love the color combo and the Gore-Tex outter doesn’t hurt neither. Much much thanks to da boyz. I love it!

Shanghai. After all these years, how do you think it looks like? Still a farm land of sort? Nah.
Check out how Shanghai looks like at night.

Rosa, a great help from our studio. She gave me the bad news about her having to leave the company, BUT, the great side to that was that she’ll be going to Italy to continue on with her education. That, I absolutely support!

I went to Cheng Du City last month, this is one of the shots that I took, one that I like more. These were made with cow-skins, these were used as light-puppets from decades ago. Pretty nice.
You’d want to see more designer figures in this blog, huh? Sorry. You wait, my friends. Just wait.
