Continuing on with the introduction of adFunture x G-Shock “Master of G” figure series, here is model #003 code-named “DEEP SEA”. The inspiration for DEEP SEA came from G-Shock’s FROGMAN watch model. The diver watch can go as deep as 200m under water, FROGMAN now holds the World Record for its function and ability. On the DEEP SEA character, a new head sculpt was given and a pair of propellors were integrated into its legs.

As a series of 4 figures, the “Master of G” figures series is the third collaboration between adFunture and G-Shock. The first collaboration dated back to G-Shock’s 25th Anniversary back in 2008, that was when adFunture ask given the task of designing the Anniversary Watch Pack for G-Shock China.

Random Products

Just random products I like recently.

G-Shock FROGMAN. Professional divers love this model. I just love its shape and color~

Boots by our friend Jose in Taipei. His streetwear brand B-Side works with Bridge Footwear recently on this exclusive model. Pretty cool.

OVERKILL Inc, button-down shirt. Can’t go wrong with a good skull. OVK’s quality is always above par as well.

Speaking of Taipei brands, REMIX TAIPEI worked with NEW ERA again this season on a few designs of 59Fifty. Black on black is always gold, I wear this alot this month, alot~ I’m now waiting for our shipment of New Era, quite excited about getting ours done up.

Nike Dunk Denim Pack. Just simply good looks. I’m a Dunk guy.

BAPE x New Era. I rarely buy BAPE, but I like wearing 59Fifty, and this seems like a classic design, I gave in. There was alot of talk about the new ownership of BAPE. While I’m no expert in terms of finance, I do believe that a publicly traded company won’t buy out a losing company for no good reasons or good planning. We’ll just have to wait and see how I.T plays this hand. Looking forward to it though.

Kick things up a notch, let’s go luxury with this Bottega Venta woven bangle. I’m a sucka for woven-look designs, (Nike Woven Chukka included), I like this bangle alot, the quality is there, so is the price, of course. Like I said, I’m a sucka…..

Got myself a new G-Shock. A classic model, DW-6900, but just love the black case with red face combo. We sell a lot of different colorways of G-Shock in our store, but personally I always pick up a black one. Call me old fashion.

G-SHOCK’s SHOCK THE WORLD Shanghai

G-SHOCK’s SHOCK THE WORLD event came to Shanghai again. This one was even better than last year’s. Great party, met up with lots of old friends at the venue. As the watch for youths, even in Mainland China, G-Shock is second to none.

This was me with Chai from G-Shock, this was before I got drunk. Luckily, I am never a mean drunk…

Yoyo was rocking her pink Baby-G! Nice to hear that her JING Dance Studio is doing great.

Always a plus to any event, Sam Lee from SUBCREW was spinning at the event~

G-Shock x Subcrew Limited Edition: “Sharkmarine” 6900

12 September 2010, 21.52 | Posted in Design, Toys | No comments »

“Finally we made it!! The G-shock x Subcrew Limited Edition watch has redesign some details and accents, rather than the usual print on the watch. We’ve put the Sharkmarine’s teeth and eye patterns on the watchstrap, with the eye-catching yellow/green color combination that meet the sharkmarine theme. As you can see on the picture, a Sharkmarine pattern has been added on the LED backlight, makes the watch become more prominent on the darkness. On the backside, a Subcrew Logo has been engraved as well as the individual serial number. We will include a Sharkmarine doll together with the watch as a set for sale.

The G-Shock x Subcrew Sharkmarine watch is limited of 100 pieces, and each one has engraved with a specific serial number from 001 – 100. There will be small amount available in our Online Store only, so all Subcrew fans must not miss it! !”

The Shark figure, of course, if you’ve been following adFunture for a while, you’ve seen it before. And as of this moment, this Subcrew G-Shock is already sold out. Congrats to Subcrew and G-Shock!

Finally got our assortment of the Mr. Cartoon G-Shock today, pretty nice graphics. Yeah, we are getting more and more special editions here in Mainland now, from G-Shock, so that’s pretty cool for the folks coming through our stores.

Hang Zhou City for G-Shock

13 October 2009, 18.19 | Posted in Events, Trips | No comments »

Paid Hang Zhou City another visit this past weekend. This time it was for one G-Shock event and also had to shoot a segment for Beijing’s Travel Channel.

West Lake at night.

Chai is one easy going guy, now just chillin’ before the G-Shock event kicks off at nite.

Mr. Nie Zheng, mostly known for his fashion photography works in China, but you should talk to him about sneakers. G-Shock is curating a photography exhibition for Nie Zheng, and it will be sometime next month in Beijing. I’ll definitely fly over there to check it out!

Shannon relaxing after our Travel Channel shoot, she is the director, and basically just went nutz listening to my Mandarin (that’s not my first language…) She got tired out from screaming “CUT!” “AGAIN!” “Good, now can we do this all over again with Eddi actually speaking Mandarin?!” Haha, sorry, Shannon. We worked together before, and this time around she felt comfortable enough to actually tell me off when I make a mistake…. Definitely one of my favorite gals in Beijing! Don’t work too hard, Shannon!

VEIL’s designer SU. We pulled through 2 all-nighters discussing about the new collection. Got alot of work done in those 2 days. Can’t wait to see some samples!!

Subcrew’s Sam Lee and the whole crew were in town as well. We had time to confirm a drop date for our next collabo. Can’t say what it is for now, but you’ll see it soon enough. We had the opportunity to see the Autumn Collection of Subcrew that night, and I must say, the catalog was very nicely expanded. Subcrew was known for trucker caps, but they are much more than just that. Stay close to these boyz as they kick off their 5th anniversary celebration.
