Undefeated Clydes

19 September 2011, 12.22 | Posted in China, Sneakers | 2 comments »

The UNDEFEATED x PUMA Clydes were officially released in Mainland China yesterday, finally. Shanghai and Beijing were the only 2 cities that had stocks to offer. I went to the launch event to check them out, and also took a look at the Clyde Exhibition PUMA had arranged at the venue. The UNDFTD Clydes are nice, there’s no question about that. 8 styles were available, and I could have walked out with at least 3 styles (black, white and beige, with the olive colorway being my fourth choice) if I was in a buying-mood. Respect to UNDFTD for their choice of colors and materials chosen. Check out some of the photos I took. Quite random though.

USAIN BOLT 19.76

23 May 2010, 19.50 | Posted in China, Events | No comments »

Been here in Shanghai for 8 years, and tonite was my first time going into Shanghai Stadium to watch an event. How slow am I??

DIAMOND LEAGUE, that was the event.
Usain Bolt was running the 200m race. That’s why a bunch of PUMA friends went, and I was lucky enough to get a ticket from them. I must admit, I’m no fan of track events, but this was a good experience。

Stay busy, Armin!

Jeter being interviewed after her win. Needless to say, she is FAST~~

Here’s the reason why we were there.

I missed my shot~!
He didn’t.
Set a new record for Shanghai’s 200m.
19.76 seconds, that’s all he needed to cover 200m.

Usain Bolt. 200m.
19.76secs.

And of course, there was Liu Xiang for 100m Hurdles event.
Crowd favorite, being in Shanghai and all.
However. No, shouldn’t say that. I should say: Hey, he came in 3rd!!
Congrats~!

Thx Julian and Armin for your kind invite.
I had fun~

Bubble Tech’d Disc Blaze

27 February 2010, 21.03 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Started the weekend by going to our boy Tim wu’s concert at Dream Factory.

China’s hip-hop is still a rocky road, but Tim is staying with it nonetheless. For this love for his music. His next album will be out soon, we’re all looking forward to that. Will post about it when it drops.

These will finally drop in China next week, been waiting for them for a while.

PUMA’s Bubble Tech Pack kicked things up a notch by getting a lil’ hybrid thingy goin’ with marque models such as SKY II, Mid and one of my personal favorite, the Disc Blaze! I broke out a pair of the Disc for my weekend~~ Love the color combo! Gonna offer all 3 models at SoleGoodz next weekend, I’m sure these won’t stay on the racks too long.

Sean, bike and kickz

Can’t leave HK without sayin’ hi to our boy Sean from Protest Design.
Sean and his brother Laz are in charge of the HK jewelry label Protest Design and clothing brand Nomadic. I’ve been wearing their bangles and leather bracelets for some time now, and the stuff are good. haha So good, Sean is now busier than ever, even 2 cell-phones seem not enough!

Saw this bike randomly locked on the street. Well, what happened or this was his way of protecting himself from theft??

You guyz like sneakers, I know, ok, this is what I like this week!
First Round from PUMA, gotta show some love!

PUMA ARCHIVE UNCOVERED w/ VEIL

23 January 2010, 20.52 | Posted in Apparel, Events | No comments »

Was at PUMA ARCHIVE UNCOVERED music event last nite in Shanghai. They had that club packed. It was also nice to see some dope kicks from the PUMA collection.

VEIL’s SU Tan was also up on stage spinning for a bit.

I had a tough time making a way around the club inside, so crowded…

Beda was keeping scores at the door. Nice to see you as always, Beda!

Ran into Caster Dance Studio’s Denson rocking our eyewear as he was walking around “checking it out” in the club. Hope you saw something you liked…

Like the varsity jacket that SU was wearing last nite. If that’s any indication of the quality and design of this season’s VEIL products, then I think we are looking at a winner here. Keep up the good work, SU!

PUMA’s SHANGHAI ALLEYCAT RACE

17 November 2009, 19.12 | Posted in Bikes, China, Events | No comments »

Yoyo and her Bumble Bee ride.
You thought it was a photoshop when I showed this bike a few months ago, didn’t you?!

Mike Lamborn

Hugo from DAWN (GZ)

The Shanghai Alleycat was successfully completed, thanks to everyone’s support to this event. We had about 130-140 bikes out there on the streets of Shanghai racing against time that day. It was pretty fun, even if you were just there watching it as it unfolded. This Alleycat was a bit different, because we opened this event up to “anyone with a bicycle”, no matter what type of cycling you are into, you were welcome to join the race. It was able the fun, the ride, and the meet.

This nice couple took part in the race, and actually went home with 2 awards: Second Fastest Female and the Coolest Bike Award. Note the gentleman’s ride.. it was a self-built tri-cycle. In our eyes, he was cooler than the boyz with the shiny new bikes. It was great seeing folks from all walks coming together that FREEZING afternoon. Once again, on behalf of the Shanghai Alleycat crew, big thanks to PUMA for supporting us do this, and thank you very much for coming out, and let’s do this all over again soon.

Guang Zhou City snaps

03 November 2009, 20.13 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

I was in Guang Zhou City (Mainland China) for the weekend.
This city has been under development for so so many years, and is still moving forward.

Halloween Nite. I walked passed this old building, only then did I remember what day it was.

Have you seen this by PUMA?
Is a special edition model made for the China market in celebration of the country’s 60th birthday. Pretty neat colorway if you ask me. That red star has to be the cake topper.
