JonOne and Mai were in town for the weekend. Really nice catching up with these two wonderful individuals. The trip was too short though, not much time for sight seeing and such.

So much going on these 2 weeks, is getting me all excited~~
A few new lines I’ve been working on will come to fruition soon, very soon.

SoleGoodz got its new shipments of both Puma and New Balance, we were a busy tied up with those for a bit. Hot stuff though, gotta check them out. Greg was in town, so we met up for some spicy Chinese food. Is always nice to see Greg, and damn happy to see the MISHKA outfit is doing so well. LA store and then the Tokyo store, etc etc, all good moves. We were talking about Twitter and since that’s “blocked” in China, we use something similar by Sina. We were taking photos for the respective sites.. yeah, we are geeks…

We hung out til midnite, so that Greg can get me a birthday drink! haha yeah, is my birthday TODAY. Another year older, another year closer to 2012! (if you believe that sorta thing..)

Went to this MESA bar, asked the waiter for their best cocktail, and he brought us these…. “oh is fun, you can mix it up yourself, blah blah blah..” Dude, you gave us a small glass of rum, some sugar syrup and a few slices of lime. Needless to say, no, we didn’t really enjoyed it~~ SO, we went off to another place and ordered a bottle of whiskey. Yeah, stick to something simple~~

Greg, great seeing you again, my friend. And it was great to drink with you and Mike in the early hours on my birthday!~ Getting up to get to work was a bitch, but it surely was fun! haha And like I said, that MISHKA x Rebel8 Fitted was sick! Very nicely done~~ We expect to see more and more folks rocking Mishka here in Shanghai!

Had the opportunity to go check out the Shanghai Circus this week. Years living in Shanghai, yet, I’ve never been to this performance they put on every night.

Once the show starts, we were asked not to take photos, so I respected that. I took 2 shots before that. That’s all I got for you. But check out that huge metal setup hung in the air. 6 performers would perform some high risks moves on that thing later in the show. Crazy stuff.

This setup was just for the beginning. The stage was very nicely setup, with lots of tricks hidden in the platform. I was amazed at the performance that night. I strongly suggest visitors to the city go enjoy this performance.

If you visit Shanghai, make sure you reserve one night to check out the Shanghai Circus.

New Balance just shipped these 2 Hanon x NB 576 bad boyz in for exclusive sale at SoleGoodz for the Mainland market. Yeah, we are once again a few months late on these, well, as always. But I say better late than never. Out of the two colorways, I particularly like the yellow+gray variant. But still, I like the blue on the other one, is a nice blue. haha Made in UK joints, pricey but worth the bucks.

These will go up on the racks in a week or so.

Was at PUMA ARCHIVE UNCOVERED music event last nite in Shanghai. They had that club packed. It was also nice to see some dope kicks from the PUMA collection.

VEIL’s SU Tan was also up on stage spinning for a bit.

I had a tough time making a way around the club inside, so crowded…

Beda was keeping scores at the door. Nice to see you as always, Beda!

Ran into Caster Dance Studio’s Denson rocking our eyewear as he was walking around “checking it out” in the club. Hope you saw something you liked…

Like the varsity jacket that SU was wearing last nite. If that’s any indication of the quality and design of this season’s VEIL products, then I think we are looking at a winner here. Keep up the good work, SU!

Was down at Magda’s gallery last nite for a preview dinner. She has this amazing street art exhibition in Shanghai’s Bund18 tonite. Lots of great pieces are being exhibited by legendary graffiti artists such as SEEN, Ms. Van, Crash, Obey, Jonone, Sic, and last but not least, my personal favorite, FUTURA.

Only took a few shots, if you want to see more, you’ll have to check out the exhibition yourself.

This coming weekend will be a busy one for Shanghai.
On Friday, adFunture will drop its eyewear collabo with Chairman at ICONIC-1 Store. Edison, KP and the rest of the Clot Crew is set to open their JUICE Store on Saturday, while SOLEGOODZ will drop the FREEDOM TRAIL Pack by CONCEPTS & New Balance. So like I said; busy busy.

Hand crafted in Japan, these frames turned out just as expected; High quality joints. I’ve been wearing one for a while now, must say I’m enjoying wearing our own branded frames.

These actually just arrived our store tonite. Love the red laces setting the whole thing off. NB 1500, slowly became a collaborative platform for New Balance as of late.

New Balance 875. I don’t remember seeing this model before, must be a new model or new breed. I like it. The mid-cut with its brown colors have it looking like an outdoor footwear. The Freedom Trail Pack, for China, will be sold exclusively at SoleGoodz Sneaker Boutique. Thanks to the good folks at NB!

The Shanghai Alleycat was successfully completed, thanks to everyone’s support to this event. We had about 130-140 bikes out there on the streets of Shanghai racing against time that day. It was pretty fun, even if you were just there watching it as it unfolded. This Alleycat was a bit different, because we opened this event up to “anyone with a bicycle”, no matter what type of cycling you are into, you were welcome to join the race. It was able the fun, the ride, and the meet.

This nice couple took part in the race, and actually went home with 2 awards: Second Fastest Female and the Coolest Bike Award. Note the gentleman’s ride.. it was a self-built tri-cycle. In our eyes, he was cooler than the boyz with the shiny new bikes. It was great seeing folks from all walks coming together that FREEZING afternoon. Once again, on behalf of the Shanghai Alleycat crew, big thanks to PUMA for supporting us do this, and thank you very much for coming out, and let’s do this all over again soon.
