Last night, my homeboy Ill Bill came through town for one last show on the American arm of his tour in support of his new album “The Hour of Reprisal”. Sean Price & Rustee Juxx of Duck Down and Slaine (fellow La Coka Nostra soldier) opened up and tore it down. Bill did what Cult Leaders do and had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand.

Long story short, that is the prelude to the Nike Black Friday AF1 release at Concepts. It will be going down on Friday and Clark will be on hand signing boxes and passing out our exclusive CD. The shoe is dope, the mix is crack and Bun’s joint is straight hot spoon and a needle status! Yeah… the “Frank” at the end of the joint is me!

This is my little brother Franco and I am coming up on my 3rd holiday season without him. I lost him in an unfortunate car accident but was blessed with 21 years of his presence. I will see you when I get there. Love you.

The local neighborhood barbershop is like the House of Representatives. People that leave the neighborhood, or even the city, always come back to the barber that they trust and bring their views, experiences and opinions with them.

The barbershop is like a temple. No bullshit, and if you bullshit, they will call you out. You think Jadakiss is nicer than Styles P? There will be an argument. Actually, that one was an argument. Kiss is nicer than P! Come on Chris! The shop is sacred. You have beef with dude from Main South for that shit that popped off Downtown when you were at Club Voodoo? Don’t bring that shit to the shop homie.

We are all on neutral ground and we respect the fact that people feed their kids (from both baby moms) with the money made in the chair. So be easy, Joe Budden’s new mixtape is being pumped, the new 007 joint is on the screen (good copy too!) and Flaco is ordering pizza… so who got in on that!

No matter how hectic the atmosphere in the shop is, the accuracy of your haircut is top priority. Crispy line-up, your taper is like The Pope himself blessed the clippers, and the beard is just right (Sean Connery status). Big shouts to my barber Shayne of MVP Barber Shop in Worcester, MA.

I had the opportunity to build with Peter Lee from the Patta crew out of Amsterdam. Its always a blessing to be able to meet people from different places but its interesting to see how much you have in common with someone that was born and raised a world away. If it wasn’t for the accent, I would have thought Pete was from where I came up. Big shouts to the whole Patta crew and hopefully one day I will make it out there. Yo Pete… Jake One’s “White Van Music” is the shit.
