Frank The Butcher

Adidas EQT Zero

12 July 2011, 22.31 | Posted in Friends, Product | No comments »

Ok.

These are AMAZING.

As retro obsessed the sneaker head culture is, my love for sneakers was built on current models. This EQT Zero by Adidas brings me back to that early feeling of discovery and appreciation for new technology. Light, comfortable and they look great. All the ingredients for a happy Frank.

This shoe is a sleeper in every sense of the word. No major push, no major out cry BUT the people that know KNOW.

Big up all my friends at Adidas. Great job!

Camouflage Season | Camo Bespoke by 5 Star General of the ATF Crew

11 July 2011, 01.29 | Posted in Friends, Product, The Butcher Block | No comments »

W-W-W-W-W-World Premier!!!

It’s always camouflage season and this Nike Air Force Bespoke is confirmation of that! Made from a pair of Woodland pattern BDU shorts and features a black micro perf leather lining, wax laces and an ever so classic gum out sole. You already know how I feel about camo and believe me, I don’t usually covet another man’s shoes… but DAMN.

Designed by the 5 Star General of the ATF Crew. Yeah that guy!

Aaron LaCrate / Milkcrate Athletics Bespoke Nike AF1

So when my guy Aaron LaCrate isn’t DJing, producing for Jim Jones or running his brand MIlkcrake Athletics, he is designing ill Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes at 21 Mercer in NYC.

The combo of brown canvas and infared is classic and street ready — another banger.

PS– no they are NOT available to the public so stop asking him!!!

Its The Cons 3

Converse recently introduced the use of Lunarlon foam drop in with the Startech LE High and now in this very clean silhouette called the ‘Straight Shooter’. This version has the same outsole as the Startech but features a duck canvas low profile upper.

I am an avid Cons rocker but it’s not a secret they are not the best in comfort, especially heritage models, but this shoe is light and super comfortable. Just became my summer staple!

This model is a part of the First String line and will be available in the next couple of weeks.

New Balance “Kennedy” voted #2 on Complex top 25 sneakers of 2011

The response on this New Balance 999 has been amazing. “The Kennedy” has gone down as one of the most popular New Balance collaborations in recent history.

I’m very proud of it.

Shouts to John @ Converse for the Startech LE High from the top tier First String line.

This shoe is based on the 70’s heritage model, the Straight Shooter, and incorporates a super light Lunarlon foam drop in borrowed from the Nike technology.

Dope.

Pleasant surprise.

My Nike Air Force One bespoke landed on Complex Magazine’s The Best 25 Bespoke Nike Air Force 1s list with the likes of sneaker royalty Dj Clark Kent, Mayor, Bun B and my brother from the UK, Gary Warnett.

Amazing honor.
PS — Not Gucci inspired.

It’s the Cons.

What’s more classic than Converse?

I’ll tell you what’s better than that — treating classics with respect. Converse’s top tier First String category has been dropping nothing but winners since it’s inception (no Leo). Carefully curated colabs and restyled staples are the formula and are the reason I see more Cons on the street everyday.

It’s on this Summer!

Shouts to my guys John, Ian and Matt “the Brit” over at Converse

Rick’s first collaborative project features his custom camo print on a Quinton cap and a Burn Rubber Tee. Rick is one of the most creative dudes I know and his new venture is shaping up to be something great.
