I had the pleasure of watching this project develop from a conversation with my brother Rick Williams of Burn Rubber, to a sample, and now a release. Rick did it again — he took the 580 and made magic happen. Lighting does strike twice. The ‘Workforce’ pack will drop in 2 releases – The ‘Blue Collar’ will release Feb 1st with the ‘White Collar’ dropping a month later. Both available on Burn Rubber site.

The response on this New Balance 999 has been amazing. “The Kennedy” has gone down as one of the most popular New Balance collaborations in recent history.

This boot was the equivalent to the new 50 Cent album “Before I Self Destruct”. Hard as hell and made for the block. Bodied. Enjoy this photo that didn’t make the campaign because of the obvious use of guns and ammo.

The turn out was amazing and the legendary Bounce Master Dj Doo Wop and Boston’s own Brek.One tore the spot down. To celebrate the east coast launch of the 686 / New Balance collaboration we threw a little “get to together” at Concepts. Big thanks to Lauren, Lou, Jenn, Kristina and Allison of New Balance and Kristin of 686 for making this happen.

Pete with number 22 and 96 on the official “What White People Like” list. Ok…22 is “microbreweries” but the list maker needs to research how white people react to PBR… incredible. New Balance should definitely be higher on the list too. Just my own observations….

Fresh had to put the “swoosh” away for the event. Wasn’t too happy about it either

Sneaker Freaker #16 has officially dropped!! One of the best issues yet with multiple covers including the limited “Skippy” cover showcasing the Sneaker Freaker x New Balance 580. This issue also highlights my Canadian fam Ransom’s Adidas project (no not one shoe, no not a retro in new colors… a line of original Ransom Adidas!) and the Concepts “Freedom Trail” New Balance project (more to come on that!). Oh yeah— Fuck you to who ever leaked the photos early.
