Some proper absinthe drinks.

My friend Kendra turned me onto Hotel Delmano on Berry in Brooklyn sometime last year. Hotel Delmano reminds me of what a salon would look like in a turn of the century Parisian brothel. It is well lit, well decorated, and features one of the best cocktail menus I have been able to find in town and competed well against Cambridge’s now closed, B-Side Lounge.

As well, it was the perfect atmosphere to take in a delicious absinthe cocktail. I ended my last night in Boston with one, so I may as well start it up in the new digs with the same.

Walking the streets of Tribeca.

We took some time from the day to head into Tribeca. Some shots of the scenery.

We somehow ran into the Ghostbusters building which has just about made my week now.

New York City is vast, people.

Bedford Ave, Brooklyn | Post Election.

This is how Bedford/N7 looked after the election. Big ups to the police presence who kept a watchful eye while allowing for people to celebrate peacefully. It looked like this all over America.

NYC Marathon from Brooklyn.

I viewed the NYC Marathon from the Brooklyn side for the first time. The scene is nothing like the Boston Marathon which draws as many runners and fans. The Brooklyn portion of the marathon reminds me of the crowds at a European cycling event, with the addition of live bands and drummers on just about every corner running the length of Bedford. Add in a superb sunny day and the view was killer.

Allen and David taking in the sights.

Finish it off with some brunch at Jimmy’s.
