You have to be kidding me.

Beau sent me over a link to this Fox News story entitled, “Lego-Style Islamic Terrorist Figurine Sparks Outrage.”  I have blogged about these in the past as I myself own both the “black” and “white” bandit minifigs and have discussed how great it is that the Will and his sons (BrickArms) have devoted much time to making weapon models for minifigs, in many ways the same as those people running into the woods to re-enact Civil War battles.

The main complaint in this article is from the Ramadhan Foundation in Britain who states, “I don’t think there’s any difference between someone that shouts hatred through a megaphone and someone that creates a doll that glorifies terrorists.” That’s about as logical as salami purchases making you a butcher of death.

At the end of the day, Will and BrickArms look like they’ll keep pushing out some of the best model weaponry made today for minifigs. Looks like this may have done business well as they’ve stopped taking orders to to high demand.

Micro Schematics.

I’ve talked on my thing for Lego minifigs before. To re-cap (since this blog is all new and shit), I am drawn to their scale, the Brick World community, and the fact that, this guy is making shitloads of weapons for his Lego Army. The Dunny world is dope, but give me a mini-fig anyday.

Jason Freeny over at Moist Productions is kinda obsessed with both and many other things, but from the inside. He’s into anatomical schematics, just not of the human body. He prefers things like Gummi Bears, Lego Mini-figs, Dunny’s, toy dog balloons, and just about anything else he can split open and re-imagine.

Best of all, he sells the prints via his online web shop. This is cool shit that comes directly from the imagination. I love it. Check it out.
