Hey.

Thanks for the walk-through. My B-17 kept rubbing against my thighs, so I performed a little surgery today. Followed your advice and drilled holes a bit higher up. In fact, they go right through the Brooks logo.

Since your logo is still intact, I would say your job looks better, but I used leather shoelaces which added a nice touch.

Thanks again!

What\'s good, Scott? There hasn\'t been any tension on the rails in particular; The rails give a solid baseline for the laces by evenly distributing the overall tension placed on the saddle itself. The \'over\' is really going to enhance that. Good luck and enjoy, brother!

Thanks for the help. I noticed you set the laces low on the skirts but then went on top of the rails with the laces. I\'ve been contemplating this myself but worried that under load the laces would push on the rails creating extra tension just at the moment I want the saddle to have a little give. HAs this been an issue? Any further thoughts on the over-the-rails/under-the-rails issue?

Thanks.

Nice work Jeff, you may feel you have just gleened the surface here, but there is a great sense of
reverence and awe that shows through and yr pics properly display the details that give a great collection depth. ~Thanks for the reporting. Inspiring.
