BBB – Berlin Airport Tempelhof

04 March 2009, 18.51 | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 comments »

BBBerlin Tempelhof airport it is! We visited the our new fairground this week, the historic Berlin Tempelhof airport, which was built in 1923 and was one of Europe’s three most iconic pre-World-War-II airports (The other ones being in London and Paris) . The location is completely different from Barcelona, but I’m sure people will love it and get used to it. There will be a lot of changes for the people who know BBBarcelona, in a positive way, and change is good I guess. Once in a while.

Check out the pics below to give you some first impressions.

The entry/reception hall:

Whitest Boy Alive – Berlin CD release

01 March 2009, 23.55 | Posted in Uncategorized | 3 comments »

Berlin band “Whitest Boy Alive” had their German CD release event yesterday in Berlin-Mitte. For the occasion they got together with ic! Berlin and performed live at their store in the shop window with huge boxes put out on the streets. It was mad packed. Hundreds of fans showed up and the whole street was blocked!

The vibe was just perfect, people dancing around with happy faces and after the gig the work of the famous Geoff McFetridge was showcased (he did the cover for the new album), CD’s and T-Shirts were sold…

Check out the vibe:

I also stopped by the C/O Berlin to see the Annie Leibovitz exhibition which not only showed photographs of her professional work for big shots like Rolling Stone, Vogue, Vanity Fair etc. and all kinds of celebrities, but moreover photographs from her private life.

People were already lining up early in the morning:

Also in line… one of Berlin’s truest artists: TunayAlp! (you will hear from him… sooner or later)
