Toilet Paper Magazine Launch by Maurizio Cattelan

04 May 2012, 00.06 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Toilet Paper Magazine – Artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari presented the latest issue of Toilet Paper Magazine last week, which is more of an art piece itself (only photos, no text).

For the occasion they got together with long-time supporter Disaronno and threw a launch party during Berlin’s Gallery Weekend at Picknick. As expected, lots of international art connoisseurs mingled with the Berlin crowd dancing the night away to Italian classics and folksongs and a great line-up of dj’s including Headman, Emil Doesn’t Drive, Jianca Bagger and Micki.

ekn footwear x MAX HERRE Signature Shoe

29 March 2012, 19.53 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Tomorrow at SOTO: German label ekn footwear presents their colabo signature shoe with German musician Max Herre with a little live gig.

Since most of the Germans that were born in the late 70’s or in the 80’s grew up with the music of Max Herre and Freundeskreis, who played a major role in the German hip hip movement, we’re super psyched to have Max in the store tomorrow evening performing a couple of his new songs!

Lots of his songs like “A.N.N.A.”, “Tabula Rasa” and  “Mit Dir” bring back good old memories. (When we were young and the world was still okay). Haha!

Well, if you’re in town, come by for a drink and hang with us.

First love, baby! (This was back in 2004!)

Paris

“Shit people say at trade shows” – January was a busy month. Lots of trade shows, showrooms, new collections, meeting people and the whole shabang. It’s amazing that in 4-6 weeks time you see exactly the same people in 4 different cities. Designers, sales persons, buyers, pr… all the same. You just gotta love it.

After walking all these trade shows I think it’s definitely time for:

“Shit people say at trade shows”

I think the top 5 would be something like this:

1. “I hate trade shows” (Well, don’t go then)

2. “It’s so boring. Everything looks the same” (go look somewhere else)

3. “Well, it’s a sample. It will be much longer/tighter/shorter/softer.” (yeah right)

4. “However, we do have an order minimum” (yeah, me too)

5. “We work with pre-payment”. (fuck you)

Hahaha! I’m sure people that are in the same boat feel me right now.

After Florence and Berlin we hit Paris… here some snapshots…

Obviously, I’m getting the master bedroom in our apartment:

The WOR crew always makes us laugh:

THOM BROWNE FW12 Show

23 January 2012, 09.12 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Last night’s THOM BROWNE show was literally a freak show: Adam’s Family meets Punk Rock meets Frankenstein! It was kind of hard-core.

Held at the” Galérie de Minéralogie et de Géologie” within the Botanical gardens the location was once again stunning.

I’m really looking forward to see the collection live in the showroom. With theses guys you never know what to expect…

Check the video and below to get a glimpse:

And here the happy ending of the show… please, note the little “penis-mouth connection”:

VOV Interview: Karl-Oskar Olsen, Wood Wood

22 January 2012, 05.20 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Karl-Osker Olsen, Wood Wood – Just before Wood Wood held their seasonal fashion show at the creative and multi-functional platform MADE, we sat down with Karl and took a look back the road and development Wood Wood, talked about his visions and the future of the brand.

Wood Wood has been a long-time favorite of mine ever since they introduced the brand in Germany and built a great team around it here in Berlin. (Laust aka Danish Dick aka the-missing-member-of-the-wolf-pack represent represent!)  ;-)

They always have some fresh pieces in their collection, very wearable with your daily outfit.
