Our very good friend Scot la.Boca will have a show ” Squirrelvison” @ LazyDog Gallery in Paris. It’s been a long time i used to listen to DC recordings  records, Since J Saul Kane aka Depth Charge started Vinyl Solution….Vinyl Solution has been a famous records shop and Acid house label as well located in London/Portobello Road. Since La.Boca and James at Dc took back the Art direction, all the records sleeves Scot did are real pieces of art. We printed two big posters who should be shown at the show, some very nice tees should be available at Sixpack very soon. Scot worked on the Archigram theme. Stay focus and don’t forget to pop in at the show. Big up Scot.

For our Spring/Summer 09 collection i asked some artists to work on some tribute to Archigram.They have created such a world made of Architectural Utopia, futuristics projects made of handmade collages…”ARCHIGRAM dominated the architectural avant garde in the 1960s and early 1970s with its playful, pop-inspired visions of a technocratic future after its formation in 1961 by a group of young London architects – Warren Chalk, Peter Cook, Dennis Crompton, David Greene, Ron Herron and Michael Webb.”

Our SS09 collection has been inspired by Architectural Utopia, mostly by Superstudio and Archigram. “SUPERSTUDIO has been Founded in Florence by a group of radical young architects in 1966, SUPERSTUDIO was at the heart of the architectural and design avant garde until its dissolution in the late 1970’s. Through photo-collages, films and exhibitions, it critiqued the modernist doctrines that had dominated 20th century design thinking”. They released a very cool book: ” Life without objects”, very theoric though but a good introduction into their architecture vision.

We are very happy of how our SS09 catalog turn out. It has been designed in collaboration with ill-Studio guys in Paris, they art directed layout design. We put a lot of energy in it, the idea was to mix a commercial catalog with a premium edition twist. This is a 132 pages including a different sized booklet of 48 pages, with a different quality paper. This small booklet has been done to be focus on a specific theme: we paid tribute to radical Utopia architectural movement called : Archigram (UK) and Superstudio (Italy). This special micro line has been titled ” L’Utopie Moderne”, Cody Hudson, La.Boca, ill-Studio and more artists have been involved to design their own micro collection…more on that very soon.

Should i mention i’ve been a massive fan of Harmony Korine GUMO movie, and the work he did as scenarist in KIDS…i really appreciate the switzerland edition company NIEVES as well , i discovered they recently edited an Harmony Korine photographies book.Directly ordered very excited to receive it and to see his recent new movie ”Mister Lonely”.
