It came as a white vinyl. Big up to my homies Orgasmic, Teki, Akroe, Emile, Tacteel and Jr…The record is available here and you can download here for free the Lay Low remix feat. E.Mackey.

I recently discovered the music of Wavves, and i love it. it’s a little bit in the same vein of No Age…kind of mix of early Pavement records mixed with Helmet or Sebadoh vs Jesus Lizard with some Beach Boys voices harmony.Their new album should be out end of march, the new single ” So bored ” sound very good.

Graphic design process / Alice and John Coltrane.

23 February 2009, 22.55 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Here is a very interesting graphic design process…im not very into jazz anymore, i used to listen to a lot during the 90’s: Pharoah Sanders, Mingus, Ron carter etc…i was digging in the crates, hahahha.

Obviouly Impulse records has been one of my prefer jazz label of all the time, specially these two records: John Coltrane ” A love supeme ” and Alice Coltrane ” Ptha the El Daoud “, deep, mystic and spiritual…that’s why i’ve been very happy when WILLIAM told me he will mixe John and Alice in one for a tshirt…another good reason to listen to some jazz again, not too much it make feel like my dad, i mean an old boring person:). Thx William for the dope design.

BROOKLYNITE GALLERY. OPENING RECEPTION FEB. 28, 7PM.

Polish street artist- Zbiok makes work that can have the same effect on its viewers. Rooted in post-Iron Curtain Poland,he has ties to punk and hip-hop, but his work looks like no other artist’s associated with either. The feel of eighties graffiti is there as an intangible, not limited to any one visual cue. His imagery is far reaching in the sources of influence it indicates. Sometimes matching a political sensibility to his electric colors and pop savvy, Zbiok’s pieces are immediate, while inviting longer meditation on their full complexity. In a recent interview he noted the influence of music on his work, highlighting his all-inclusive scope as “jazz to death metal.” His characters and iconography feel refreshingly alien to American street art thus far.

“IT HURTS” is an acknowledgment that everybody feels things strongly, that each of us is viscerally affected by people and events near to us. But even halfway around the world, a person or event can hit us like a force of nature. Loving someone so much it feels like an entity unto itself, feelingan overwhelming urge to change the world – nothing can make you more vulnerable. But nothing else will go as far to amplify your joy.

Jean-Pierre Massiera x Venus Gang x Human Egg etc…

I recently discovered the work of the French 70’s prolific producer Jean-Pierre Massiera. He produced some very cool spacey/psyche/disco tracks and italo disco. It’s funny cause he lived in south of france where he built his studio in NICE. He recorded and produced some very obscure prog rock tracks as well, very close to The Goblin sound. I recommand to check : Les Maledictus Sound, Venus Gang and Visitors. He also produced a stupid disco track named Hercule “Little green man”…Big Up Jean-Pierre:)
