I won’t and i don’t want to spent my time looking for people who don’t have enough creativity to do a dope design…i won’t waste my time, but it seem we are on the radar of brands lost in the no ideas land… after Franklin and Marshall, now it’s LRG who stole one of our 2007 graphics…they include this one in their Spring/summer 2009 line. Next please. Big to my man Bus, he’s the designer who did the original graphic.

La Planète Sauvage

02 April 2009, 12.31 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

In our SS09 collection we worked with french illustrator Christopher D, i asked him to pay a tribute to the extraordinary French sci-fi movie : ” La planète sauvage” in english ” The fantastic Planet”. The movie has been written by René Laloux and based on Roland Topor’s drawings, the story has been inspired by Stefan Wuul novel book “Oms en serie”. The story and movie are amazing, but the most incredible part is the soundtrack, it has been composed by french composer Alain Goraguer, he’s the guy who did the strings arrangement for Serge Gainsbourg’s most famous album : ” Melody Nelson “. The Fantastic Planet soundtrack is a weird mix of low space  atmospheric funk …the soundtrack has been sampled by Madlib (and many others) in the first Quasimoto Lp. Here below the original sleeve record and our tshirt ( the graphic has been 100% redrawn). Product available here.
