Los-Angeles day 1

Charles De Gaulles airport Paris.

Traditional flight pics…flying over Groenland.

We don’t lie we are in Los.Angeles :)

We rent a house near Mulholland Drive in Studio City…

Our house…It has been designed by Famous American Architect Rudolf Michael Schindler.

All the furnitures design are awesome, it look like a small 60’s furnitures museum…a lot of original pieces designed by “extraordinaire” designer Eams.

My daughter jetlagged, sleeping under the table, an original Isamu Noguchi low table. Always cool to sleep under this kind of furniture.

Nice canvas…

Same taste in American counter litterature culture…Gonzoooooo!!!

It seem the owner has good and similar taste in graphic design as well… Famous Marion Bataille type book.

Time to wake up, we have a meeting with our friends at National Forest: Justin Krietemeyer and Steven Harrington….

At Sixpack we’ve always been  massive fan of Chris Ware..everybody know he’s one of the best comtemporrary illustrator…should we call him a genius?….Hummmm don’t know, sometimes his stories are to much depressive..especially Jimmy Corrigan…but it’s so good…kind of guilty pleasure…I found this video…Enjoy.

-Sonic Youth new album ” The eternal”-

NEW HOUSE and things.

03 May 2009, 15.11 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

I recently moved in a new house, before the traditionnal rental truck and things, i’ve been in my roof top, i had a sit and had a look in my old dusty packages. I found some old things i used to collect during my teenage and post ( i mean early 90’s). Im not into collecting things just to collec them and looking them dying without any sense…im not into any kind of melancholic mood as well with eyes focus on things behind, i hate the “it used to be better” , i’d rather say im more focus on present and contemporary things  and next things : fashion, graphic design etc…but it always cool to stay connected to your roots and cultural background…this is what we do at Sixpack mixing : past, present and futur.

I did a very small selection of some items i found in my roof top : bag, zine ,vinyls, original friends drawings, original rave flyers etc…just a fews.

Original Metalheadz Metal Box, inspired by P.I.L metal box artwork. 90’s Drum and Bass rules or should we call it Jungle? anyone know what Goldie is doin today????

Some Original 93′ French Rave Flyers, Not fake new rave (sorry if it hurt).

Originals Spiral Tribe Flyers, been there done that:).

My precious “ Alternative Tentacles ” courrier bag, bought in London in 93′. Big up DK.

First Jesus Lizard Lp ( David Yow , still my hero), and a weird Lee Ranaldo ( Sonic-Youth) 7 inch.

Vapors Project issue 0, Lay-out by Cody Hudson, powered by 12 OZ prophet, classic “visionnaire” graffiti mag.

Sixpack shop discoïd sketches book. Letters by FAKER.

One of my 90’s 12inch record of all the time: Co-Flow “end to end burners” Artwork by Phase 2.

Some originals drawings by Herbert Baglione and David Choe.

Comics characters drawn by David Choe.
