Sixpack France AW09 Previews Catalog.

30 June 2009, 13.54 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

We are happy to show some previews of our new AW09 catalog. As usual we put of ourself in it, to make it look as a premium catalog more than just a generic workbook. Our friends at  Ill-Studio did the lay-out, the art direction and the ads campaign photo shoot. We used 3 differents papers and each sections are separated by a small booklet using a coated paper etc… Last season  we had a very big demand from clients, agency etc… we finally decided to sell our book online.

It should be available very soon on www.sixpack.fr.

Hajime Sorayama Poster.

Sixpack France presents : Hajime Sorayama « Robot » limited poster

At the end of the week, we are launching our AW/09 collaboration with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama at Colette in Paris.

Taking part in our triptyc “Fragments of Yesterday”, the line is a tribute to  erotical/fetichism aesthetic of end 70’s that still influences contemporary artists and designers of today.

After having given you a small preview of the three tee-shirts Sorayama did for us, we are proud to present you the very limited Hajime Sorayama “Robot” poster that completes and ends the line.

This poster is an exclusive 70×100cm print of one of the original Sorayama’s artworks, realesed at the end of 70’s. Based on some airbrush, pencil, and acrylic painting technics, the graphic is purely “hyper-realistic” playing with light effect on metallic surfaces to create a sensual hybrid between female and robot.

Numbered and authenficated by a “Sixpack France x Hajime Sorayama” label, the poster is available now on sixpack.fr.

Sixpack France x Dc life x Akroe.

19 June 2009, 21.33 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

The day DC shoes asked them for a collection, Sixpack France answered with “No thank you” - the signed collection by Akroe.

She’s the girl who comes toward you on the dancefloor and becomes the only thing you can see, until you feel that your head is about to explode. She’s like Grace Jones walking on the Champs Elysées in red white blue and black for the bicentennial of the French revolution.

The little French girl who will sleep with cute Americans just for the sake of it. You love her so much you draw her on the walls, on your shiny baseball jacket and even on the soles of your trainers. With pointed tits and a soft mouth in a semi permanent kiss. She’s gone back to France now, but you can see her whenever you close your eyes. Your little French girl is there. Je t’aime moi non plus, that old song by Serge Gainsbourg is playing in your head as she’s dancing again slowly in front of you. “You want me?” You ask her, “Can I touch you?” Like always, she replies, “No thank you.”

Hajime Sorayama for Sixpack France @ Colette

Sixpack France presents : Hajime Sorayama “Fragments of Yesterday” - Part 1.
June 28 th @ Colette Shop (Paris)

“Fragments of Yesterday” is the first part of our A/W 09 collection.
For this new season, we travelled through Time, changing Sixpack France into a time-machine exploring graphic designs territories from the past and art of tomorrow to feel and understand our present.
We realised that time was cyclic : art, creativity, economy, history, revolution and trends are all built in the same way.. like a sampler. Reality works on replay: child and father, counter culture and mass culture, war and peace, or economic growth and crisis….
“Past, Present, Future” just came out to us as an evidence, a three-worded punchline summing up this state of mind we were in, the name of the new collection.
As our approach was to build bridges and links between radical art periods, we created “Fragments of Yesterday”, a tryptic micro-line overviewing several decades of visual art and graphism.
We are very pleased to present to you the first part of the project today : Hajime Sorayama micro line.
We worked with amazing Japanese contemporary artist Hajime Sorayama, best known for his obsession of sexy robotic womens. It was logic to collaborate with him as he has been a huge influence on the contemporary modern Art.
The line consists of three t-shirts and a very limited run of 40 ex poster, size 100×70cm
We would like to invite you to discover the whole line exclusively at Colette in Paris on June 28th.
