National Forest is the studio made by Justin Krietemeyer and Steven Harrington.

For our SS10 “Peyote Poem” collection, they take us to an hallucinatory-shamanic experience: the Duality Collection.

A visual shoot in five pieces, a 70’s acid trip, hemp colours, indian iconography, psychedelic photographies, primitive arabesques…

Four tee shirts and a 90×90 cm decorative wall-hang titled “Balance”.

Now available on www.sixpack.fr.

Sixpack France Tribute To Neil Young by Uncle Geez

12 May 2010, 15.53 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

Sixpack_Neil_Young_Pres2.ai

For our SS10 “Peyote Poem” collection, we worked with American graphic designer Uncle Geez on a series of three tee shirts homage to Neil Young.

Neil Young has always been for us one of our biggest reference.

While immerging ourselves into the line, we used to listen to those amazing records that are Harvest, Zuma, or Rust Never Sleep…Arc Weld and On the Beach!

The idea of this series was to create merchandising-like t-shirts that could have been bought at a Neil Young’s show or in a music store.

To better illustrate his creative process, Uncle Geez sent us some mood boards research of his studies and sketches.

Cortez the killer“, “Harvet Moon” and “Real Stars” are all available online.

Focus on the Odessa Capsule

06 May 2010, 15.25 | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 comment »

« Odessa » is the name of this micro-capsule we designed for our SS10 collection.
A short and a jacket that take us back to our childhood days.
Those times we used to wear striped shorts made with seersucker cotton.
Thin and soft, like the Proust’s Madeleine of our school days wardrobe, we worked with this fabric on two pieces :
A striped short with a graphic cut and sew twist.
And a reversible jacket.
On the recto side: basic harrington jacket look
On the verso side: a mix of striped and navy fabrics combined with a cut and sew technique representing a boat anchor

PRINT IS DEAD !

The Odessa capsule is now available on our online store.

Have a closer look at the capsule below.

Sixpack France presents: “Fire Walk With Me” feat. Jean Nipon

05 May 2010, 15.44 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

flyer_recto_sixpack_nipon_wen

We don’t expect you to know who Jean Nipon is because, frankly, neither do we. And yet, he’s one of the Institubes originals.
And yet, he is a fixture of the Paris club scene, signing Sixpack France next mix: ““Fire Walk With Me”.
Nipon is a fractious, peculiar creature… a bit like us.
Jean Nipon started out as a drummer in Hardcore bands and got into DJing circa 97.
Then it became something of an art form, and many a reveler remembers his seven-hour sets at Paris Paris where, as a resident, he would play the latest bangers in custom- edited form, plus Prince, Minor Threat, Aphex Twin and the Beastie Boys, Dinosaur Jr and Lio, Pink Floyd and Shellac, My Bloody Valentine and KRS One. What he does with those CD decks… Nobody can touch him.
Let’s rewind it back: hardcore drummer, DJ, designer, lives in Japan for a year, sells records for two years in Paris at Katapult, does some remixes for TTC, Ark, Micronauts, Adam Kesher, David Rubato. Directed three volumes of the DJ-oriented “Eurogirls” vinyl project for Arcade Mode with Orgasmic…
We’ve also seen him funcrush a couple of yuppie parties that didn’t deserve to dance he’s a man of principles.
Today, Sixpack France is pleased to invite Jean Nipon, incontrovertible dj for his precious knowledge of the obscure and the mainstream, of the rare and the common, which makes him so definitely necessary.
