The explorations of endless desert landscapes are behind us: here comes the time to sink into our deepest and darkest fantasies.
The loneliness of inner space as another form of vastness. An itinerary similar to the one of Rimbaud, but backwards.

Gloomy litterature, venomous poets and atrabilious writers, synesthesic hallucinations, “Murder considered as one of the Fine Arts“, “Against the Grain” Edgar Allan Poe and Charles Baudelaire, string of misanthropic dandies… Such is our current menu. The Nineteenth- Century spleen revisited.

We don’t intend to commit suicide in the gothic tradition, but we claim it’s time to draw a line under ease and superficiality.
To get rid of that self-indulgent regurgitation of the same obvious references, over and over again.
We’re tired of the predictable revivals, of the stale and unimaginative recycling.

Weariness of getting trapped in the same old subculture values, static and puerile in the pretext to challenge high Culture. The one with a capital C.

We’re sick of this arrogant self-assertion through cultural codes which build pointless barriers, in order to delimit a specific universe. Too limited.
We wanna jump out of this mundane merry-go-round. This is over, nothing is forbidden anymore.

Do not make a mistake. If we get all of a sudden sucked in by a beloved book about Literature and Evil, it doesn’t mean we’re suddenly showing off in a
highbrow outfit. That corresponds only to our need to expand our journey of the mind towards regions that most of people prevent strangely themselves to visit.
Because it’s not pop enough.

On the contrary, we do believe this spooky road to hellish landscapes is simultaneously an enlightning and an exciting direction. And it can be a lot of fun too.

Age and by the legacy of the Gnostics?
