Sixpack France x //DIY x “Detox in Phoenix” Capsule

14 April 2011, 16.21 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

detoxcapsule

SS11 is the time we have decided to celebrate the product, to let it tell its story all by itself.
We chose to make place by burning the whole rest.
That is where the idea of dust comes from, just like an historical detox, a rebirth.
This new tee shirts series designed by //DIY were created in this same specific mood.
//DIY told us they were inspired by images from the Icelandic volcano eruption that they mixed up and cut up to create brand new Rorschach tests.

The “Detox in Phoenix” Capsule is now available on our store.

Sixpack France presents : Brendan Monroe Fanzine & Tee Shirts Series

sixpack-france-x-brendan-monroe-cover

Sixpack France is glad to announce the release of its brand new fanzine, featuring the american artist Brendan Monroe.

This California native has built his visual universes at the edge of reality and imagination, in which emotions converse with the mysterious forces of Nature. Mental landscapes, synaesthetic fulguration, one-way introspection…

Limbic Place is an invitation to an initiatory journey to the roots of the human soul.

Published by Sixpack France, Limbic Place is now available on our online shop.

Three tee shirts have also been created to celebrate this event.

Welcome to a new, enhanced Sixpack France blog

arkanelollitaep1

This post is the first post of the Sixpack France blog’s new version. We’ll talk here about things not only Sixpack-related, but also about music, movies, books, design, art, and of course fashion. The idea behind this “new” blog is to introduce you, Sixpack France friends, to things that defined and still define our identity as a fashion brand, but also as regular, warm-blooded people who happen to manage a fashion brand, in which they’re injecting some crucial feelings they’ve experienced through their lives. We think our clothes are more than sheer commodities, or least that they’re singular, fantasy-rich commodities. They’re functional, anonymous, subdued textile objects which actually hide a secret meaning, something that has to do with a child’s first look on the world, or with a dreamy, hypnagogic memory. And we think our products, and the way we design and market them, can sometimes activate this gray, intoxicating zone settled between pure functionality and mass fetishism.

ar-kane3

Anyway, let’s begin by some music made by this half-forgotten late eighties duo from London, called A.R. Kane.

You could listen to that and read some other cool articles now on our blog.

Enjoy!
