Check out this new music video from the talented New Orleans director BMike and myself.  I hope you like it.

BMike was inspired to capture the current state of New Orleans by creating a visual accompaniment to  “Babblin’” because he felt the song unintentionally represented the existing dichotomy in his city so well. Today, tourists and residents alike enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer, but many never visit the ninth ward or acknowledge the remnants of destruction that remain.

The imagery in “Babblin’” serves as a blunt reminder that the Katrina tragedy should not and cannot be forgotten, but through it all we must unite and rejoice to ensure life and the beautiful city of New Orleans live on.

This post is dedicated to my man David Chang, the incredible graphic artist who hooked up my logo. HighSnobiety readers may not be hip to it yet, but David designed the exact vision I had for a logo, which has enabled me to develop some of the freshest merchandise you will see from any artist. First of all check out the first ever Stalley T-Shirt:

Every colorway we do is going to be limited to keep it exclusive. We decided to use this colorway first to kickoff the logo, which was first revealed in my self-titled video STALLEY

but when we went to print the shirts we used a red hat to show the colors of Ohio State and give the shirt a little more flavor. You might have seen the above video circling around the internet already, but this was a dope moment for me. I went back home and linked up with my homies Eighty81 (shout out to Jameel, Kelton, DJ Steph Floss, and Mo-Piru Love, and RossiMafia) we fell through to a Cavs game where DJ Steph Floss played my song “Do It Big” and afterwards I chopped it up with Bron for a quick second. The second video is DJ Steph Floss’ version of what went on during that day, “Keep my house clean I might wanna have company over later”.

This is my first visual ever, a song and video very dear to me. When shooting, I didn’t know what to expect or how it would come out because before working with Creative Control, I tried to shoot a video for this song 5 different times and it never came out how I wanted it to so I kept throwing it out. On the last try I linked with Creative Control told them my vision and ideas for the video and 30 minutes later we came out with the perfect clean and classic visual screen shot right out of the thoughts I manifested in my head (finally perfection), and the start of a beautiful relationship Stalley x Creative Control.
