I joined my mother this morning for an event unlike most I’ve ever been to. When she told me that it was a VIP opening on Friday from 8-11, I thought, “wow, moms really has it crackin!” until I found out 8 meant AM and it was the opening of a Gristedes supermarket in Brooklyn Heights. Crazy! Anyway, I went down and have to admit, had pretty fun time. Turns out mom is cool with a bunch of politcos and I got a chance to kick it with Brooklyn Boro President Marty Markowitz and Councilman David Yassky - some interesting heads. But most interesting of all was meeting John Catsimatidis, owner of Gristedes and # 215 on the Forbes list of the richest 400 Americans. John is hella close with the Clinton’s so my mom asked him if H was going to take the Secretary of State job and he said with certainty “yes.” So you heard it first on High Snob - Obama and Hillary back in the frame!
