Today was a big day in futebol brasileiro with the championships for each state poppin off and my squads had some big wins. First, Flamengo took the Carioca title in an overtime shootout (what?!) that gave them their fifth tricampeonato and the rights to declare a hegemonia with their 31 overall Rio state titles since the league was formed in 1906. Vai Mengão!
In São Paulo, the Corinthians took their 26th Campeonato Paulista with a tie over Santos that allowed them to take the trophy on points. Vai Timão!
