DQM Election Eve Video
On this, the eve of perhaps the most important day of all of our lives, I’d like to present to you the latest installment of the only campaign that really makes sense, DQM for President!
I ran into auteur and longtime DQM collaborator, Wyatt Neumann on Saturday at the DQM 5th Anniversary party at Epsteins and got to talking about what the DQM campaign is all about. Here’s what he told me:
“The reason we did the videos was to make politics fun. We were seeing so much shit about ‘think this and think that’ and since neither candidate was talking about issues that we really cared about, we thought it would be funny to make ads about the issues that mean something to us. Like the slogans say: ‘I’m not about raising taxes, I’m about taxing asses’ and ‘I’m not for the upper class, and I’m not for the middle class… I’m all about the no class’ or ‘I don’t care about who’s winning in the polls, I care about who’s ON the pole. hey ladies!’ We thought the timing was right to have a little fun with it, and besides, the sneaker game takes itself too seriously sometimes anyway. We gotta remember we’re here to have fun and that’s what makes it so fresh.”
