01 July 2009, 22.04 | Posted in downloads, homies, music | No comments »

The homies over at Boundless threw down an instant classic when they had DJ Teddy King and Mondee murder East Village Radio back in November 2008 with their all-Ghost set. Now they are blessing us again by offering up “The Ghostface Show” as a free download. This is required listening. Cop it right here. Thanks homies!

Red Bull Big Tune

My friends at Red Bull invited me to check out their Big Tune event going down tomorrow at Highline Ballroom here in NYC. Conceptualized by my homie Jonathan Moore in Seattle, Big Tune is a national beat making competition that started with 96 producers all vying for a shot at producing a beat for Common, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, or The Game. After regional competitions in Philadelphia, Oakland, Houston, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, the final 16 will go head to head tomorrow for the crown. Alchemist, Digable Planets and Ghostface will also perform. I rolled through South Paw in BK for the Big Tune pre-party last Saturday and if that was any indication, Big Tune should be off the hook. See you there.

Keir Dillon Interview

Yesterday I had the chance to chop it up with my friend Keir Dillon. An OG snowboarder with a grip of accomplishments under his belt and a butter style emulated by many, Keir is now transitioning from money shredder to TV star. He’s already worked on cam for both the Winter and Summer X Games and is soon to launch his own show, All In With Keir Dillon, on Fuel. He was in NY polying with MTV about a show for the Frends crew and filming segments for VBS’ Powder and Rails show. Here’s what he had to say about riding, progressing and even a lil Obama. Yeah son!
