Since we are on the subject of butter Lexuses, peep this sneak preview of their next eco-cruiser, the LF-Ch. This ill little baby is a compact hybrid concept and will make it’s official debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany tomorrow. I already know what you’re thinking - why the hell do the krauts get it first? Just kidding, I had a bad experience at the Frankfurt airport this year. But seriously, we won’t be able to catch it in the flesh stateside for the first time until the LA Auto Show in December but you can peep some more images right here after the jump. Earlier this summer, my friends at Lexus were dope enough to give me the opportunity to push around their spanking new, from-the-ground-up hybrid, the HS 250h. I had it for a week and not only did I never have to fill it up with gas even after blazing all the way out to the North Fork of Long Island, to Stamford CT in the other direction, and all over the city, but I got more looks than a dime piece at a construction site. For real, no exaggeration, from the blue bloods of Orient Point to the homies over in East New York, everybody hollered at me about this whip. I felt like a Lexus salesman by the end of it. Almost silent and buttery smooth with the perfect amount of UFO steez plus a tech’d out interior that had people buggin, I’d be sitting at a red light having conversations with the cars on either side of me about the thing. Now that the HS has officially dropped at dealers, I wish I had given people a reference number just to see how many I sold! If you are about to drop on a whip, this is seriously a dope way to go. I had the great pleasure the other day of meeting the fine folks from Lexus who allowed me to abscond with a butter IS 350 C converti for a whip around the city. Although we’ve been stuck in a perpetual thunder storm for the past month, the heavens graciously accommodated the three hour tour I took with the homies Noah and Mike from Lexus’ perch at the 60 Thompson to what was supposed to have been uptown but ended up only being the Intrepid because we couldn’t take sitting on the Westside Highway breathing cab fumes any longer. Lucky for Mike, he was actually planning on going to the Intrepid that day (yeah he’s from out of town) so he just hopped out in the middle of the highway and bounced while Noah and I resolved to take it back downtown for a stunt mission in the LES. With a sick one touch automatic hardtop and a six speed touchtronic manual/automatic tranny, it wasn’t hard for us to catch attention. Noah took mad pics with his Lomo but they got exposed when the film ripped in the cam so these snaps will have to do. Trust me though, this whip is official. More travelogue after the jump.
