I’ve been getting my hair cut at the Chop Shop since pretty much the day they opened and they’ve always treated me righter than right. This week I got to feature Mike Malbon, Mr. Bee and Straight Edge Kevin on dose for a history lesson on why they’re the flyest barber shop in the game.! For those of you who have been folliclely under-serviced, get ready cause Chop Shop is about to go global!

Mike Malbon has been pushing the creative envelope of the Chop Shop since it’s inception. Continuing with his documentary shorts surrounding the life and times of the LES barber shop he drops a new series this week with “Short Story.” Look for cameos from many of Essex Street’s familiar faces and stay tuned for new episodes dropping regularly. Check out Sheikh Malbon. The homie Mike just got off the Gumball3000 race and has apparently become Saudi royalty. Between nearly 6000 miles of highway, maybe a party or two, and a night in the bing in New Orleans with Duane Peters and Trigger Gumm for shooting off fire works out of a moving vehicle (at least that’s what the cops called it), Mike was given the honorary head garb from Sheikh Amro Kalawi of Saudi Arabia.
