Even though I’m not supposed to, I love two teams in Brasil, Corinthians in Sao Paulo and Flamengo in Rio. So you know I was stoked to see this Corinthians New Era on The Hype BR this week. One funny thing about Brasil is that for some reason all the soccer team hats are mad tight, like crazy tight, like a shape of hat that doesn’t even exist here, or really anywhere for that matter. So the end result is, you can’t really rock a joint for your squad cause these hats are impossible to put on your head. Now New Era x Corinthians = problem solved. Dope. Can someone send me one?! Yesterday I went up to see my friends Kori from Mfa and Merryl from Kidrobot for a lil preview of Kidrobot’s Fall 2009 line. Once again, I was feeling the New Era’s and especially like how KR has rolled with the end of all over prints and other wildstyle stuff and are keeping their shit more wearable and basic. As someone who wears them every day, winter or summer, I really liked the Havaiana collabo and can’t wait to bug heads out in Brasil with those. You can catch those over at Rad Collector too. Finally, their new Nooka looked pretty fresh to me even though none of us could figure out how to open the box. Some looks at all the good shit after the jump.

You already know how I feel about New Era’s so you can imagine how excited I was to be damn near the first person in the world to get a hold of the two new colorways of the Craig Wetherby x Manik New Era’s. These joints are official! Unfortunately for everyone except the Japanese, they are only going to be available in Japan. It really doesn’t matter how over saturated they become. I love New Era’s. I was listening to my homie J Period’s Dark Dayz mixtape the other day and he has a verse from “Stan” on there where Em says something about a Starter hat and it made me realize that, Staple’s current resurrection program for them notwithstanding, New Era completely knocked Starter out the frame on hats only ten years ago. Those powermoves are crazy. Anyway, I got a chance to kick it with my friend Merryl at Kidrobot and peep some of the new stuff for Holiday and Spring/Summer 09. What can I say, I liked the New Era’s, especially the heather grey sweatpant one I tried to abscond with. You know my address Mer!
