Even though I am not a birthday person, my aniversario got a little nuts this year, but I won’t complain because that means I have some fucking awesome friends. From the Randazzo’s ride to Sam Kim’s Korean BBQ to my rooftop suaré with Hawaii Mike it was all pretty proper. And finally over. I guess I answered my own question, I can live. Thanks everyone!

Last night I had the chance to host the Nike Just Do It campaign launch for action sports with the homie Nigel Sylvester. We held court in the atrium of Niketown in midtown, Donnis came through for a few joints and we hooked some kids up with Nike Countour HD cams so they could get in on Nike’s The Chosen contest. It was a rad event, thanks to Marty for getting me involved and stay tuned for an edit from The ICU. Nah mean!

You gotta love it when a plan comes together. I put together this video of the Nixon Art Mosh with my long time friends Darryl and Khomari from The ICU, maaaaan we’re a long ways away from the days of 39th street and 6th ave, right homies?!

The One Day project for Patrice that Phil and David put together is definitely one of the most fun campaigns I’ve had the chance to get involved with. I didn’t know Patrice prior to being asked to score a day of my life with one of his songs and not many of my people did either, but add a camera, a blog, and some homies to the mix and bam, there’s the power of social media. This shit never ceases to amaze. Check out my “One Day” right here.

All the homies came together on Friday night for a real deal rooftop BBQ at the etnies Space for mine and Hawaii Mike’s Bday’s. Corona and Tanteo provided the drinks and Mike swooped up about 200 burgers to make sure everyone had enough in the belly to handle the drinks x blazing sunray combo. As a vegetarian, I tried to make do on asparagus and orzo salad alone which sadly was not quite enough so a special thanks needs to go to Frances Ortiz for saving my night with veggie burgers. And of course thanks to Kashia Wolf for the ridiculously delicious chocolate mousse cake – that was a total surprise! My favorite thing in the world is connecting with people all over the globe through this shared lifestyle we all live and love. Recently I was contacted by Rosario Herrara from Status Magazine in the Philippines about doing an interview with them but in a twist, they didn’t want me to do an interview for them, they wanted to interview me. Its not often that the pen is pointed at me so I was extremely honored by the request. The interview was thoughtful and very well researched, shit they knew more about me than a lot of my friends, and just dropped as part of their Art Over Mind issue with Travis Barker on the cover.
