I got some dope news from Sweden today, my homie the insanely talented Moley Talhaoui was named an official WeActivist! Moley, whose work across several mediums navigates the fine line between real and surreal, is also the man responsible for the only three viking helmet finger tattoos in the world. That, alas, is still a story for another time. But for this time, go here and vote for Moley’s piece “Slaggar” to be installed in the Stockholm Metro. While in SLC I got to kick it with two of my favorite Utahns (yes that’s what they’re called) Laura Hadar and Tracy Anderson at the WeSC x Fice x Frank151 x Ricky Powell artshow. Actually, both Dirty Hades and Tedo3000 are technically columnists on Radcollector although neither apparently has had anything interesting to blog lately. Oh well, I still love them. If you’ve never been to Stockholm, you’re missing a huge part of the human experience. These people, who choose to live on the edge of the arctic and endure the earth’s extremes, are a very special tribe. A week amongst them in pictures after the jump.

Despite being beat from the flight and copius amounts of boxed wine, there was no rest for a viking and I jumped right into work mode as soon as we were checked in. First stop was a tour of the WeSC offices followed by a frosty walk around the city and then onto the main event. If I didn’t mention it already, the primary reason for this mission is to help the WeSC homies celebrate their power move into the shoe game. As I’m learning when it comes to WeSC on their home turf, everything is on another level. From the official pre-launch at SneakersnStuff to the after party at Kåken to the after after party at Spy Bar all you gotta do in this town is throw some We’s on it! Shit I even ran into my big homie and fellow columnist Phil G! That’s when you know it’s on. Thanks to Tedo 3G, Eric Ruhle, Danny Miami, Eric Hardin, SNS Peter,Salvatore and of course Greger and the entire WeSC fam for this insane nordic expedition. I was mad excited to get a call from my homie Tracy Anderson at WeSC a few weeks ago asking me to come to Stockholm to take part in the WeSC 2011 Global Sales Meeting. Stockholm x WeSC are you kidding?! Even though the last time I left this city was with a missing tooth, a shiner, and a hospital bill I couldn’t understand cause it was in Swedish, to have the opportunity to come back as a guest of the dudes that run shit over here was impossible to pass up. Check out some pics after the jumpie from the beginning of the trip which included a random run-in with the Trouble Gang at the airport Chili’s and a free box of wine from the stewardess who was definitely trying to holler at the kid. Alls I can say is any trip that starts like this is bound to be epic.

My homie DJ Jayceeoh just got back from hitting Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Oslo, and London and rocking parties for WeSC, Caliroots, and the Hundreds along with some seriously clubbed out venues. Europe stays crazy yo. Stay tuned for our Super 7 jumpoff at SXSW this week!

I love the fall. Always have. As a kid in CT, we had the illest falls, all leafy Mcleaf with blue skies and that crisp ass Connetti air. Even though it meant school was back in session, it also meant that hoodies and jeans were back in effect. To this day, even though I could check out and hit the beach forever, never to see a day below 75 again and probably not miss it, I still get amped to floss the new flannels and cords, to not sweat every single second of the day, and to not have to jam every device plus wallet plus whatever else into my two front pockets and walk around looking like a shoplifter. Yeah, fall is nice.

To commemorate my love affair with fall, I’ve hooked up with one of my favorite brands to cook up a little enticement to get autumn fresh. Yep WeSC’s fall collection has just hit stores and is hot to death. Collabos with Delta, Kasuki, Madsaki, Markok, Mitch and my homie Stash are ripe for the picking. If your headphone game is slacking, the new Maraca is pretty fly and there’s a bunch of collabs in that department too – Bloody Beetroots, Cassius, The Glimmers and DimMak. So here’s the deal cuzos, if you read this and then jet down to the WeSC shop in either NYC or LA, the homies in the store will hit you off with a 10% discount on any of the brand new flavs just for dropping the name Timbo Baggins. Thank god for a nice sunny Friday here in the Big App, right? Kind of makes you itchy for a drinky, no? Well I got you. Actually the awesome homies at WeSC got you. Yes, Jessie Cohen and the WeSC crew will feed you Budweiser while showing off their new “Slim Tony” jeans for chicks and dudes that they collaborated on with Tony Arcabascio. I keep hearing something about midgets too, but I’m not sure what the deal is. Guess I’m gonna just have to go to find out!!

Last Thursday WESC had a party at the flagship Bloomingdales on Third Ave to celebrate Bloomies picking up the brand. I made it for the tail end. The party was good. Now it will be interesting to see what impact Bloomingdale’s new “streetwear” department has on the direction of things. Here are some friends I ran into up there.
