Kenny Brimer and our greatest Memories.
Heres a post that I plan to add to as time goes along. Please see the first vid from Our Family from Osaka Junji and Takashi of Soundboarding. Lars aka Larry aka The Skate Nazi was like an older brother to Kenny and to all of us. Lars and Kenny would always argue in such brotherly fashions. We would usually see both of them on Mondays as they would have their Monday sessions going as they were both off of work. Our office was also a meeting ground before everyone went home to get ready for the next day.
Kenny also made a playlist which can be downloaded at Fitted Hawaii’s website HERE!
Just saw the Junji and Takashi as well as The Skate Nazi have put some posts up for our brother Kenny! The picture below is something that is really special to me as we would always gather up at Juns old house which was a block away from my house. When visitors would come to Hawaii Jun would always say…Todd BAR B CUE??? I would instantly say yes as I would be stoked to be cooking on the grill for a good 3 hours!

Below is something that Jef Hartsel has made for Kenny and I could not say it better! 100% for Sure!

Below is a picture that was posted by Lars from past Sunday as we had a group session even though I started drinking beers with Lars when I got there. I guess no session for me as I was more overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up. Everyone was ripping and thanks so much to Rod and the crew at Blue Hawaii for letting us infiltrate their Kalihi Store/Warehouse.

The two photos below really hits home as Kenny and Yong-Ki were good friends growing up together. I got to become good friends with Yong-Ki as we both worked at Borders Books and Music in Waikele. I remember when I first started working with Yong-Ki and he would keep looking at my shoes. I guess I had a Skate Shoe obsession as I would be wearing all of these different colored Etnies Raps and Vans Half Cabs. I told Yong-Ki that I actually met him at the Hickam Hanger when I was the grom of the group and would only ride the street course as he would be riding the 5-6 Foot Mini Ramp. Kenny told me much stories of Yong-Ki as he was always a go GETTER or a guy that would always not give a shit about anyone. Yong-Ki…Thank you so much for everything and for doing all of this for Kenny!

Above…Kenny and Yong-Ki in the grom years. I see Zorlac(PUSHEAD)!

Kenny and Yong-Ki at Hawaii Kai Skatepark. Thanks so much Larry, Yong-Ki and Jef!

Below is a vid of Rene Matthyssen. Thanks so much Rene for everything! Just remember the last trick was switch…I know it doesnt mean anything now but 16 years ago it meant a lot to me.
Below is a vid of Rob Carlyon.
I remember these days so vivid. I was 19 and would be working at an undisclosed store and Rob would always let me know where he was and what he was doing. I also remember Rob calling me from NYC and telling me that a new brand was about to come out which was called ZOO YORK! After Zoo York’s first introduction in the 411 Videos I was instantly hooked as they not only interviewed the skaeboarders but Bobbito!! And to me back then Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito were the main dudes in Hip Hop on the East! Skateboarding has done so much for me and more to come soon! Searching for Ren aka Rene Mattyssens vids as he was another important figure in our involvement with Kenny!
