GURTENFESTIVAL 2007 – Report
Every summer on a (usually) hot July weekend ten thousands of people surge up Bern`s Gurten hill for the towns biggest event called Gurtenfestival. This year Yuhzimi was in charge of the DJ booking for the Parisienne Block dance tent. 4 days of rain, mud and pure madness!
Over 40 bands played on 3 stages. The promoters have to satisfy the taste of all people but still they manage to book things we really like. This year it was: Basement Jaxx, Stress, Scissor Sisters, The Young Gods, Cypress Hill, Kelis, Dizzee Rascal and Joss Stone.
Well the report is more about what happened at our tent because we were always there. I put the links to each artist so go check them out. If you don`t know, now you know!
THURSDAY:

This is how it looks like when Switzerlands most popular rapper Stress is playing at Gurtens main stage.
Stress raps in french since he is from Lausanne, located in the french speaking part of Switzerland, his songs are tight, so is the live show!
Kalabrese from Zurich played nice electronic house…

DJ Morsy (Nanachill, NYC) is finally back in Bern!
The Genevan Heathen aka John B. Rambo rocked with his partner in crime Kid Rolex.

SUNDAY:
Final morning and the sun was shining! Finally… Still Woodstock style ground but now we could see it!
